yout2 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I have downloaded a few mods and the Mod organizer. alot of them are working fine. but there are a few that dont have Data folders so i cant get them to work in the mod organizer. mainly animation mods. i also have no clue on how to download them manually. if anyone can either tell me how to get them to work in the organizer or a detailed guide on how to do it manually i would be grateful. (i watched a youtube guide on how to download them manually but i could never get alot of them to work)
Guest Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 If you get the message, from Mod Organizer: "No Data directory found" then just expand the folder tree and find which folder should be the data. Right click on it, set as data folder, and it should work right away.

Sarge Misfit Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Not sure if any of this will help, but here is what I do - I always manually download mods, unpack them and place the files in the games Data folder. - If I find that the contents have been organized into folders named "00 Core", "10 Main", etc, I'll use MO to unpack the archive but will manually copy the files from MO's Mods folder to the game's Data folder and then delete the mod from MO. - Activate them using the vanilla launcher but don't start the game - I use MO to quickly flag any missing masters and then go and get any that are missing - Next LOOT to sort and to identify mods that need script cleaning. MO marks these but LOOT is much clearer - Launch using the SKSE launcher. A bit round-about but it works well.
