Fienyx Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Ok, I got the redecoration mod because I wanted to start in the chorrol house, but it's so crowded in there, it's hard to find space to put a tub, toilet and washstand. Is the furniture that comes with the houses different? I moved a chair, the chair moved, but the activator for the chair didn't.. So, I will most likely go back to the mod that just removes everything and set the house up with whatever I like, however I like. Candles are a must...... all natural real lights.
Vaelorian Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 It'd probably be easier for you to just make a mod that edits the house however you like. That way you can also move it between saves and enable\disable it whenever you feel like it.
fejeena Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 All the player house stuff is "persistent". It's set to "initally disabled" till you buy it, then it is enabled. And persistent entries/positions are stored in your save. Have you tried leave the cell and enter again ? Or wait 3 days not in the house ? And change position of chairs, tables and beds is no good idea. That's also mentioned in the readme. Q: I moved some objects around, and now NPCs are constantly walking into them?A: NPCs use a "path grid" to determine where they can walk. It can only be changed manually within the CS, so there's no way to update it and let NPCs know that there's now something sitting in their way. I strongly advise against moving objects in areas frequented by NPCs. Yes like Vaelorian said better create a mod. Place all objects where you want them, then correct the path grid.
Fienyx Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 I wasn't worried about NPC's bumping into the stuff, as I only plan on moving stuff around in my house, and rarely if ever have any npc's over. I went with HousesCB (requires craftybits), which has the houses completely empty. I'll post some pics later of how that's going. Edit: OK, no pics. Spent 4-5 hours copying things and placing them, turned out awesome, lots of stuff from Oak and Crosiar, the paintings from Rena's Dog Shop, then I discovered what kind of stuff they sell at imperial furniture and made it even better. Decided then I would like to see the difference between using OBGE3 and OR........ Installed OR, loaded game, it crashed, tried again, save was corrupt.... delete the save then continue from the one before that, why else would I have 10 saves?!?!?...... corrupt... hmmm...... delete, exit, start and continue from #7..... corrupt......... remove OR and put OBGE3 back in, that was working just fine, now I continue from save # 6 aaannnd, corrupt. Delete, continue from 5 (by now I'm back to original LO) and corrupt. All 10 saves were corrupted. Started disliking OR when it started messing with the camera, and sliders. Hard to be a sniper when the grass slider has higher importance than npc slider. Get shot by invisible people. But now...... after I meticulously crafted my character, 2 hrs with those damned face sliders, then the 4-5 hrs decorating Arborwatch, to have it all lost, just because of OR..... now I despise it.
Fienyx Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 Apparently, something went wrong with the game during that crash. Couldn't even start a new game with either OBGE or OR.
