Guest Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 After HDT High Heels System installation, I get the mod being shown in game through SkyUI, and everything seems ok.Except for one thing: when a character equips heeled shoes, his feet sinks into the ground for few inches (in fact, the heel itself goes into the ground). How can I fix this?ps: sometimes messing with the console commands I used "disable" and "enable" on a npc with heels, and when it was enabled again there were no more sinking in the ground for few minutes. When I go out from the cell, or just equip another npc with other shoes everything goes back sinking.if it can help, in NMM I have checked as active for HHS only this file: "hdt High Heel.esm"Also, all the shoes I've tried to use are HHS friendly. Thanks in advance for the help
ZelenEagle Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 do you see a message in the topleft corner that says "move actor up magnitude 20.0000" or something like that?
Guest Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Embrace NiOverride heels. Seriously, even if you don't use any of the other awesome features, use that. Follow cell's brilliant guide. Hell, do whatever cell tells you, he's like your fairy godfather when it comes to Nioverride loveliness.

However unlike Mircrosoft/Apple/Google after the Oracle/Java thing ferments/et al, sometimes, just sometimes it's better to stay with the old. (Actually my annoyance with HDT High Heels is applying, in game, extra magical abilities to them - however as they usually have way above normal armour, it sort of balances),

I was already well into NiOverride for other stuff, so giving HDT HH the elbow and dropping an esp felt pretty good. That's all I've got evidence-wise edit - I spend a lot of time in the CK, mostly frigging around with mods other cleverer folks made. Removing that spell effect and the dependency just feels like the right thing to do when you're replacing it all with something that's already in situ for most of us, taking care of body morphs and overlays. I'm struggling to think of a reason why anybody would want to stick with HDT HH for any reason though - throw it over the side and I all but guarantee you won't miss it - as long as you follow cell's very, very noob friendly guide.

That said its their personal choice so gonna respect that. As for what Spoonfinger said while i do agree i believe NiOverride is much better honestly.

I really want to do the whole NiOverride thing because it's the actual answer in this case and other cases, (or seems to be), however it does seem to be, (even from the simple and very coherent instructions), a bit of a chore to do for HDT High Heel stuff for existing embedded load outs. Grrr, work!!!!!, bla. I'm going to blame cell just because. ps Spoonfinger - LOL! , (should have chosen that years ago).

Cell's workflow for converting an esp from HDT HH to NiO is really very simple. After the third or fourth time it's entirely trivial. Basically: 1. use Wry Bash to edit the esp, replacing the HDT HH master dependency with something else - I use the Heel Sounds esp but any will do. Save/exit. 2. Load the esp in TES5edit and follow cell's isimple nstructions . Save/exit 3. load up the mesh in nifskope, make the changes to the nif that cell tells you to make, save/exit The tools you're using are pretty much mandatory if you're remotely serious about getting into modding, and following cell's guide will teach you something about how to use them. No excuses. Follow his guide, come back here for questions. Repeat the process 4 times or so. Pay it forward. Sayonara HDT HH.

"3. load up the mesh in nifskope, make the changes to the nif that cell tells you to make, save/exit" That is where is just gets a tinnie tinnie bit tedious. But I do see your point, (I think I've made it already).

Until that happens, HDT it is.
Guest Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 do you see a message in the topleft corner that says "move actor up magnitude 20.0000" or something like that? Here there are some screenshots of what I get in-game, and what shows up in HDT High Heels System Menu (censored my nasty modz <3 ): As you can see I'm using Merta Black Rose armor and other Merta Stuff, and I would prefer to fix hdt hhs instead of installing a new mod related to shoes (but if it can't be fixed, I'll give a try to NiOverride heels indeed).
Guest Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Seriously guys just drop HDT High Heels NiO is faster, uses no script, and no ESP. Also if you use Racemenu you already have NiO installed. There is no reason to keep using HDT HH. Just spend 1 hour understanding NiO and profit. There is no going back.

Go try NiOverride If you really don't want to do that I think you can try to slide the "global height offset" one to 20 or the custom sliders to 20 and try to load them
