fantikw0w Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Can someone help me out? Im really new with the whole mod thing i downloaded http://www.loverslab.com/topic/35315-hidielle-follower/ to follow me around and all, but i have no idea how to change her cloths to something diff, and idk where to get those adult outfits from at all, and how to add them into the game - or rather files when i open her inventory in the game its empty even tho shes wearing her default outfits anyone can help me out with that?
Sarif3 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I would recommend Extensible Follower Framework, which you can grab from the nexus. It lets you manage your followers equipped items, gives you a handy quick-action menu, and generally makes your life easier. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12933/?

Veladarius Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Any of the follower management mods that allow modification of the outfit will work. An npc's outfit is separate from their inventory which is why you don't see it and just taking the items without changing the outfit itself will result in them changing back into the original outfit.
malfdawg Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 You actually dont need any mods to manage your followers outfit. I find the follower frameworks to be too script heavy, and hog too many resources. When you get to the point where youre overloading your mods beyond the 255 "limit", cutting out the resource drains is important. Open the console in game, select your follower and type removeallitems This will remove their outfit and possibly dump their inventory as well. Now you have an itemless follower. Again open console and select your follower. Now type equipitem xxxxxxxx 1 where the x's represent the item number. ( this number is found by typing help "name of the item" in console) Equip any outfit items and weapons in this way. If you want to remove an item without doing removeallitems, with follower selected in console type, removeitem xxxxxxxx 1, again the x's being the item number.

When the follower resets over time all the items you gave them will be removed and the original outfit restored especially if you remove all of their outfit, this happens with all npc's.
Anonymous9431 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Use UFO followers overhaul then via dialogue say You know...> you should dress better and when you trade with your follower you can unequip the armor and give him the armor you want.

Truth. When a follower is following, they wear their most valuable gear in each slot. (as in, gold value). When a follower is dismissed, it will revert back to its default outfit on the next cell load. I used hacks in BBLS's outfit system to control this, but it's the vanilla way the game works.
Veladarius Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Most of the Follower management mods change the outfit to one that is empty so you can have them wear whatever you want. A new outfit can also be made via script where once you have them wearing what you want them to you have the items added to a leveled list that is in the custom outfit.
