cleavagesweat Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 so apparently we are supposed to run skyrim thru our SKSE launcher because of our mods but does anyone really think it makes a difference?
Gameplayer Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 so apparently we are supposed to run skyrim thru our SKSE launcher because of our mods but does anyone really think it makes a difference? Yes. Yes it makes a difference, quite a few but it depends on if your using mods. There is one modification I can think of that makes a big difference. SKSE Memory Tweak by Shazon. wont work without skse being launched to enter the game. MCM menu's should also stop functioning and of course Sexlab should not be fully functional without entering the game with SKSE but it wouldn't matter cause for most people that are putting mods into their game they will run outta memory anyway cause no SKSE memory tweak. Memory Tweak has to be applied separately which I think is a fail cause we always end up having to tell people to go install that.

Gameplayer Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 You can find it on Skyrim Nexus. Just type in SKSE Memory tweak. Im sure Shezons explanation would be better than mine...Also I gotta get to school so ><

Is that all I need? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/? Queued's seems to do more? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/? I'm not sure what to do...
Rayblue Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 The first is a utility that should tell you if the memory patch is working. It'll tell how much the game is consuming memory allocated to it. The second is older -- it's for older version of SKSE or those who have to play Skyrim while on emulation. What you need is to install SKSE as instructed, then download and then install this .ini file where it should be, followed by Memory Blocks Log if you want to check if the patch is working: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038/?

cleavagesweat Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 so i hate to bring this up again but the CTD seems to have fixed by 90% but now i'm getting weird untextured purple people and objects? i have a pretty beefy rig with 16GM GSkill Gforce GTX 980Ti (watercooled) i7 4790K OCZ SSD was i supposed to edit any .ini after that file above?
KnightMaster Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Purple objects are a sign that you are missing textures. Could be a separate texturefile for one or several mods you missed installing, but it is hard to tell without a modlist and knowing which objects are purple
