plasticia Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Hello everyone, I wanted to ask on how to load custom content in sim 3 ? I purchase the game via steam, and also got the university life. I have already updated it to the latest current version of the game. I have already followed the other links that explains how to download the mods folder to get the configure.cfg and got the example of no blinks and no intro.packages files and also know where to places it , it is in my document >user name >Electronic arts > sims 3 > Mods > But when I started the game on the launcher, I do not see the install custom content button enabled. I don't know why this is happening I searched through the sites and nothing explains this. As I understand in order to unpack the package and install stuff in sim 3 I needed to get to put the packages files into the my documents > user name > electronic arts > sim3 > mods > packages folder which I did. But somehow it doesn't detect this, I already login to my sim3 account, and make sure that it is enable to use custom content but again the install custom button is not enabled for some reason. I proceed and just play the game and strangely some of the scripted stuff worked, the NSAR controller, master controller, and some even the stuff that I place into the game like custom skin, nude skin, upper female mesh breasts from gecko , but again some things aren't like the animated wooho stuff or adult animations that I wanted. The Xtc Daydream worked regardless. but items such as kinky bondage stocade, and some stuff missing that needed to be installed via the launcher. Can someone help me out please ? I felt like a noob, but I followed all the instructions there is on the links via goggle on how to install custom contents, the install custom buttons doesn't even get enabled for some reason.
Wicked Loveth Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 You don't have to install the .package files through the launcher. If they are in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages then it's fine. You only install sims3pack files through the launcher. Make sure you load up the game at least once after you install the mod setup. Be sure to delete the cache files when you install new mods too. Hope this helps~

You're welcome! You put sims3pack files in the Downloads folder. If you are installing Kinkyworld and its animations I would recommend putting them in a folder by themselves in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages
