Bloodfang Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hey everyone, So I stopped Fallout 4 and wanted to give Skyrim another shot after spending like 1500 hours on it. I carefully prepared a mod folder, taking just what I needed. Used Loot, checked if everything was ok. So far so good. My only problem is the skin texture. I use exactly the same as I did (Realistic Girl texture), but somehow it seems no matter what skin texture I download my redguard character gets all her skintones as some kind of orange/redish color. Needless to say, no more chocolate... What surprises me the most is the fact I even used an old backup of the body/hands/head textures and pasted in the female folder but the result is still the same ! I'm starting to believe that the problem lies somewhere else. This is how my character used to look before : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/392062/? Also another problem is that the majority of skin textures are just made for white characters, making darker skintones too orange/red or sometimes even white themselves (Vahalla skin texture for example). Does anyone have any idea how to possibly find a solution for this ?
Kuroyami Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I'm not sure if you are already using it or not, but RaceMenu will give you far more skin-tone options than the vanilla game, since you can choose any color you want, for any race.

Yep I'm using it, it was needed if I wanted to reuse my old preset I almost forgot about this functionality. Also, I did a bit more testing, it seems than in Helgen the light makes somehow the skin much more brighter compared to after when you start in Helgen's dungeon or even in Skyrim outdoors cells. Weird thing.
