WindWaker4D Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Sometimes when installing a new mod with an mcm menu it takes a while to register in game. Also sometimes the specific mod is bugged and it may not appear in the mcm menu and needs a patch. I'm asking about when a mod (with no history of mcm menu problems) shows up in the menu in game but when I click on it, only the title appears, no sub-menus underneath it. If anyone understands what I'm talking about and knows a fix please I would love some help~ Thnx in advance ^-^

For example the "Scent Of Sex" mod, the submenus take a little bit to appear and this is by design. The code is checking various things to know what to display. If ALL of the MCM submenus show this problem, then I would suggest you have some problems with papyrus bogging down (too many badly scripted mods, unclean saves, old scripts from removed mods, etc). It might be time to clean the save using the recommended save cleaners, or scrap it and start a new character. Have you tried starting a new character and seeing if the problem persists? If this is only one particular mod having this issue, check in the thread for THAT mod and post there (or it could still be papyrus lag...).
Guest Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 The first registration is done once in a while. A quick way to force it is to open and then close the MCM. The new mod should appear in a matter of seconds. In case you see the mod but it takes time when you click on it then it is the mid itself doing dome stuff (Scent of Sex case where the mid does a full cell scan, a full scan of items in player inventory and on NPC/container under cross hair, and a few other things.)
Veladarius Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I have used the mod Jaxonz MCM Kicker to get MCM menu's like that working, usually it is on the first time they are initialized that it happens. When it runs it will reinitialize every MCM menu. Mod is here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57795/? Once the MCM menu is working I suggest disabling the Jaxonz mod as it will do it every time you start the game and it typically isn't needed on reloading your game later.
