Gameplayer Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I watched another YouCaster with much cooler voice and less likely to ramble than matty talk about this uh in fact he was quite early to point out that the new Workshop DLC is basically going to have everything.... Like everything including Elevators and all the bells and whistles even. Forgot the guys name I don't often roam u tube.
E_Nigma Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I really hope they do at least 3-4 story dlcs, there is simply not enough quest content in FO4
shadowlord445 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I watched that earlier, could be a neat horror themed dlc, a fully functional theme park, you vs a serial killer, but that is just pure speculation on my part. Totally agree with E_Nigma, this game NEEDS more quests, and not just radiant quests. I was hoping for a weapon pack, like a pump action shotgun, bows and arrows, throwable weapons, traditional and chinese assault rifles.
AsariX Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I'm still not totally convinced. For starters, the source of this rumor is a reddit post. Are there any sources that do not trace back to that same reddit post, but have people actually verifying it? I just got tired of hunting vids and posts that did their homework instead of just reposting the exact same image. Another thing to consider, is that it wouldn't be the first time for Beth developers to plant red herring. The Skyrim code was full of "hints" suggesting DLCs which never happened. Heck, it could even be a leftover from debugging variations to the same file, the wasteland workshop.

Oh man don't remind me http://gamerant.com/elder-scrolls-skyrim-expansions-morrowind-cyrodiil-robk-117723/
Frel Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 One thing to consider (past the fact that sources about this "leak" are neither plentiful nor reliable): if you see something mentioned in the code it does not mean it will be part of the end product. It can often be either an overzealous artist (see the Morrowind/Cyrodil assets in skyrim) or just simply planned content that just end up being canned (for example because it was not good enough or the budget ran out). The core of the thing is that it is easier to keep the thing and make not accessible than remove what is already added (see http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_cut_content ) Seeing these mentions can be a good hint of course about potential future content (I believe that the Harpoon gun, while still on the cut content page, made it on Far Harbor DLC but the model is different than the one in the main game) but games are littered with assets/references that never emerge as effective game content.
