Skyrim unable to create new saves and save video settings

I posted this a week ago, but I got nothing helpful on that one. Anyway this is a recent problem I've had in Skyrim, and I'm honestly not sure if Skyrim is just permanently broken now. The problem being I'm unable to apply video setting changes, and overwrite or create new saves. I've already done a fresh install of Skyrim twice, but to no avail. Another solution I tried was running both skyrim and the launcher as administrator, but no change. I'm not sure if this problem is directly linked to Skyrim.ini as it doesn't appear in my Mygames/Skyrim folder only saves and skyrimprefs.ini show up. And before anyone asks this isn't a pirated version of Skyrim it is the Steam version,

1. Maybe your skyrim folder in Documents is read only.

2. If you're using OneDrive, try to disable it - by default game saves everything in 'C/users/user/documents/mygames/Skyrim', but with OneDrive synchronization enabled it load files from 'C/users/user/onedrive'

Tried that, but nothing has changed and everything is still the same.

Do you have full admin rights?

Yes,  I have admin rights this is my PC anyway.

yeah, that doesn't necessarily mean you have full read/write control, which is why I asked.

 

you're not using NMM or MO?

One other possibility is that Skyrim prevents saving while a SexLab animation is in progress.

 

Is it possible that the save file you're loading from is corrupted and Skyrim thinks that its in the middle of an animation ?

Try starting a new game and see if Skyrim still prevents you from saving for that new game.
