High Heels for NPCs

I have made some high heel replacers for Vanilla boots.

However, they don't work on non-follower NPCs that wear them.

On follower NPCs, I have to take the boots from their inventory, and give the boots back to them again, at which point the High Heel system kicks in. I have to do this every time I load a save, and occasionally after changing areas.

Is there a way to make the High Heel system kick in for every NPC?

It should be automatic.

Can you share the mod (and all the related files) you did to take a look?

You need to set an outfit - usually NPCs prefers clothing from outfit - sometime the armor value helps - but the only 100% solution is to modify outfits.

And the HighHeel spell from nexus wont work - if you want a perfect high heel effect for NPC use NIOverride

For example, I replaced the Thalmor boots with a high heel version. The high heel is scripted in the CK. It works on my character. It works on my followers after some back and forth trading.
However, the Thalmor Justiciars that I find "in the wild" are still sinking into the ground, the high heels don't work on them.

Also, since I made this mod for my personal use, and since I am not a 3D mesh modder, I used a lot of texture and mesh assets from other mods. I don't think I can upload it without permission.

UPDATE:
I switched from HDT HH to NIOverride, and the latter is indeed much better. The High Heel affect now immediately work on NPCs and followers without any prompting. No messy adding spells and scripts in the .esp either. Truly revolutionary.

Thanks a bunch.

I think I found a mod wich makes HDT High Heels work on a non-follower NPC. It's by making them kind of a follower using the spell / method 2 version of this mod:

www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11662/

It's in the old files section. The newer version don't seem to include the spells even if the author says they do.

Probably there are some drawbacks like the obvious one -  it's doesn't work well with a replacer mod since the heels have to be put on manually on each NPC. But it's the only way I know of except NIOverride of course. I've read somewhere that it should also work if the PC puts on the same Heels like the NPC after a manually added high using the MCM menu. But it didn't work for me and imho it is even more inconvenient.

PS:

Just saw that there is a rather new mod called CH NiOverride High Heel Rings. Has anyone tested it? Sound like it might be a much easier way to apply NIOverride Heels effect than to edit the NiFs. But still no use for a replacer mod. If it works the Ring still have to be put on all NPCs in one way or another.

If you make the npc a new default outfit, containing your heels, either HDT or NIOveride, in a new game, the NPC will always wear your heels and it will always work. No more stuffing around. (as with a lot of things with npcs, in a current game, if you have already met the npc, changing them can cause weird stuff to happen)

This is really easy to do in TES5edit. FadingSignal made a  great youtube vid on it.

It will work perfectly, every time. I have an .esp in my load order with new individual outfits for about 120 female npcs. They all have heels. It is yet to fail, even in the Whitrun markets where up to 10 of them will be strutting around at the same time.
