Bindair Dundat Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 After a bit of messing around with files -- no editing, just copy'n pasting meshes and textures -- I managed to get a female body that works fine on 0 weight and 100 weight, but distorts anywhere inbetween. Both on Player and on NPCs. If I move the weight slider, the body becomes a mess of skin coloured zigzags. Kinda like it was turned inside out. And when it reaches the other end of the slider, it forms into a body again. Near the ends (like 1, 2 and 98, 99) it is recognisable as a body, but the closer it gets to the middle it becomes a mess. That makes me believe something is simply switched. A number maybe. The armor and the head/legs/etc work fine, so it has to be some body thing. And I presume textures are not responsible for forms, so it's gotta be something with meshes. Fact is, I'm not "advanced user" enough to experiment any further. So here it is, did anyone ever encountered something similar? If so, what's the solution?
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Sound like broken weighting/skin. If you are using Blender or Max, refer to tutorials for those on YouTube (for Max, check out Nightasy's excellent beginner-friendly series). If it's some kinda Bodyslide or CITRUS, etc., refer to the various tutorials/How To pages for those. The reason your armours/clothing show fine is that they contain their own body meshes. All meshes - bodies, armour, etc. - are "worn" by a character's skeleton like clothing, and have separate mesh sets.
