Creation Kit Dialog Boxes Error

Somehow im not able to save anything with the CK because it always says that i have to close all Dialog Boxes to save but im pretty sure i have them all closed. The error even pops up when i just load the CK with an esp and hit the save button. Does someone knows the cause or a workaround. I already tried to launch it out of the Mod Organizer but that doesnt change the problem.

Check if you have a modal CK window off-screen.

 

You can reset the window positions by deleting the files SkyrimEditor.ini and SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini (of course all the configs will be lost.)

Nope, all windows are closed. I double and triple checked that already.

Clean up all the CK preference files. They may be in the Mod Organizer folders, in case you use CK from Mod Organizer.

Then try to reinstall it again from Steam.

If you haven't tried it yet try uninstalling the CK and then once it's gone install it back and see if that fixes it. Whenever I have had problems with the CK and it throwing out a error nuking it and reinstalling it back fixed it.

Hmmmm nevermind. I found the error. For anyone who might stumble upon this thread and has the same error be sure to check if any other applications edit the ck window in some way. In my case it was eXtra Buttons.

Not sure what extra buttons is but you can also get this error if you have the CK open and have TES5EDIT open at the same time.
