moddinggamer6646 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 i have a issue with my pc which i can't solve myself randomly (several times in an hour ) my PC screen does a flicker like jump sometimes twice in a row its usually small but occasionally heavier like a weaker version of a loose TV connection flicker another more rare thing is that the screen flashes a color as quick as a blink here's what i don't get i first had this issue when i bought the PC 2 years ago after a while when the flickering got on my nerves i went searching to try and solve it don't know what i did but eventually something i did made the flickering and flashing go from frequent to rarely occurring like once or twice a week. unfortunately after upgrading to windows 10 it returned and its as bad as it was when i first got the PC i can run games on it fine though the flickering also occurs in games (it did this before as well but stopped after doing what ever i did) it also occurs on the desktop when completely idle (nothing moving on screen) i have stress tested my PC no problems while doing so hope someone can help me out any questions let me know

gregathit Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I too have had this problem, from my googling to investigate it, there are various different causes. In my case, it "seems" to be an OS issue. For me, it seems to happen when my hard drives haven't spun up due to inactivity, or simply runs out of buffer memory. Whatever I am doing flickers for a couple of seconds and then is fine. For others it has been a bad graphics driver. Some recommend turning off error reporting. I did this myself and it seems to cut the occurrences down, but hasn't totally eliminated them.
