Z0mBieP00Nani Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 This probably isn't the place to ask, but I've had this adware on my computer that plays random audio advertisements every so often for the past few weeks now. I've run scans but they don't seem to be finding anything. My searches have all turned up advice that is two years old at best, or stuff that is completely different from what I'm dealing with. Any advice would be appreciated.

No, it plays even when I'm not on the internet, or when I don't have any programs running that are connected to the internet. For example, this time it played on start up. It usually lasts for a number of minutes (long enough to play two or three ads) and then cuts off for a while.

I even used the same adware removal tool they showed in the tutorial you posted. I guess I'll have to try that again, this time doing steps 3 and 4 and see if that changes anything.
