EricSKelly1972 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 for some reason unknown to me, i started getting random increases in my light armor skill doing nothing more than walking through town. it started after my first battle inside Volskygge. i leveled up 5 times before getting to the word wall and it hasn't stopped. granted the quick fix i found in game was to remove all light armor and wear heavy, but my character is a light armor wearing, great sword wielding barbarian. not to mention i like the aesthetics of the light armor i'm currently using. can anyone help me solve this issue? i really don't want to have to start a new game after finishing both Alduin and Dawnguard, becoming the Harbinger of the Companions and Master of the Thieves Guild. Shadowscale Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Skyrim Reborn and Perma both have a very small skill gain to your armor skill while walking around. Is it huge gains as in you gained 2 or 3 levels just wandering town or just a once shot skill up?
EricSKelly1972 Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Skyrim Reborn and Perma both have a very small skill gain to your armor skill while walking around. Is it huge gains as in you gained 2 or 3 levels just wandering town or just a once shot skill up? as i said, its a rapid increase. i gained at least 1 level just walking around inside Breezehome before i decided to seek some kind of help in fixing this aggravation. the levels are coming way too fast.
Shadowscale Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I can't seem to figure out why either. Do you have an Uncapper file in your SKSE plugin folder? May want to check it to see what your skill gain growth is set at if so.
EricSKelly1972 Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 i do have an uncapper that is needed for SkyRe. this is what the SKSE_Elys_Uncapper config is set to: [General];DO NOT MODIFY THIS VALUE;INI file versioniINIFileVersion = 3;Enable(1) or Disable(0) the plugin;Default value = 0bEnabled=1;Enable(1) or Disable(0) the AutoUpdate functionality. Shadowscale Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hm, not that then I guess. Did this start occuring randomly or has it been happening the whole save file?
Yuuen Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Your bashed patch should be at the bottom of your load order, don't know if that's the cause of this, but I thought I'd address it. I use SPERG which is similar to the mods you use, not sure if SkyRe or Perma have MCM menus but SPERG has one with a config option of "Armor leveling rate", if they do have an MCM, have you checked for an option like that?
EricSKelly1972 Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 Hm, not that then I guess. Did this start occuring randomly or has it been happening the whole save file? totally random in a certain dungeon as stated above. Your bashed patch should be at the bottom of your load order, don't know if that's the cause of this, but I thought I'd address it. I use SPERG which is similar to the mods you use, not sure if SkyRe or Perma have MCM menus but SPERG has one with a config option of "Armor leveling rate", if they do have an MCM, have you checked for an option like that? negative on the MCM for SkyRe.
