You can't just go ignoring the long vowel ō and make it short. Not to mention どーじん is not even a correct, official form. You don't use ー with hiragana, only with katakana. Let's assume どー is in katakana (ドー). It has long dō, so it's either dou (どう) or doo (どお) in hiragana. So basically どーじん is like... a written form of street-talk. Of sorts. EDIT: Oh and there I go, pointlessly arguing on the internet with people I don't know about things I don't care about... please kill me... >_< Feel free to ignore this message. To be honest I spent only a few months learning Japanese. Still - it was easier to understand than the English text you got from Google Translate. Google Translate is terrible. It completely butchered the text. If possible, try to avoid it.
