sshadow5001 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I think I'm starting to understand its purpose. So its great as a starter for when your making a Bodyslide set since you can conform it to the UUNP base body and work from there. its also seems like its good to use after a batch build to really get the outfit to fit some of the bigger/stranger bodies and you plan on always using that Body type. Am I correct in my thinking?
myuhinny Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Mesh rigger is used to add bone nodes from one nif to another it can rig and weight a item it may add a gap between bouncy areas like shirt and boobs to prevent clipping. Mesh rigger will also clean up a nif of bad files as long as it doesn't cause it to crash. It will not work if a item doesn't have a BSDismember or NiSkinInstance. If a to and from body have different UV maps then you can't use the UV map option as it will come out different then it should. Outfit studio also has a HDT option that can add a HDT body to armor and you can transfer weights and bones to a outfit piece in outfit studio. I also use it when porting outfits from one game to the other using outfit studio it will remove all of the other games crap from the nif and then replace it with the correct stuff. Some just need to be run through it to add the correct nodes as some the way that you port them the other games files get removed like if you export something from a nif in OBJ format it's remove all of that stuff.
