Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 For the boots, you'd have to import the whole thing into Blender, chop the feet off as high as you can, adjust the boots so it looks ok, then export again.

Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Since I don't know how much you know, when you get the nif out make sure you edit the BSShaderPPLightingProperty on the body object so that Shader Type is SHADER_SKIN, and Shader Flags has SF_FaceGen checked. Otherwise the body won't take the correct skintone. If you already know this, apologies

OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Okay I have to ask here because I can't seem to find a good guide at all for this, but how do you set up Blender to import nif files? I followed a guide on my laptop and it didn't work at all. After about an hour of messing around with the programs I finally got it to where it allowed me to click the import nif option, but when I got to the nif files themselves, they couldn't be clicked.
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Not sure what you mean, did the models themselves import into blender fine?
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Not sure what you mean' date=' did the models themselves import into blender fine? [/quote'] Nope. That's where I'm having the problem. I have to download like Python and PyFFi or something, right? Then a nif plugin for Blender?
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Everything on this page: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Blender Blender needs to be 2.49 not the latest 2.63 Should work once all those are installed.
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Okay everything is installed but it still won't let me import the nif file. All the nif files are in black text. Am I missing something obvious or?
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Any chance you could put of a few screenshots of what you're doing?
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Here'swhere I'm at now. This is after I went to file, import, nif file selection (gamebryo and the other name I can't remember), then went to the whole data folder thing for New Vegas, meshes, armor, RE pack and that's where I am in this screen.
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Have you tried importing one of them? The default blender is black text on grey background.
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 If I click on Import nif, this is where I get to. I'm not sure if this is right or not but I'm basically stuck here.
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Ok, you need to drag the lower window down (grab the line between Scripts and Panels) until you see the ok button.
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Okay I see it. Do I hit OK now or do I have to do anything else first?
Evilrunner Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Just hit ok, should load ok then. I'd recommend reading through some of this btw, just to get an idea about blender: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro
OmgItsaGhost! Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 This is what's showing up now. Still no model. Sorry for all these questions and stuff I'll have to read that wikibook today lol.
beck11 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Does everything in FNV use one skeleton? Cant seem to find skeletonbeast anywhere.
Evilrunner Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Looks like your script is failing to run properly. Not sure why I'm afraid, if you've got that far I'd expect it to work. All humans use 1 skeleton, Skeleton.nif No beasts races in New Vegas

[/quote'] It wouldn't be because the clothing pack is Japanese, would it? I wouldn't think so since it works fine in the game but I figure it's worth a mention.
Evilrunner Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Shouldn't be. If you want to send me a link to the mod I can give it a try though.
OmgItsaGhost! Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Shouldn't be. If you want to send me a link to the mod I can give it a try though. If it's not too much trouble, I'd be grateful http://115.com/file/c4cohicb (the green button is the download thing) It took forever for me to download it though I guess it's slow unless you're a premium member.
Evilrunner Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Hmm, I may be being dense here, but try switching the main viewport to 3d View. Bottom left, where the snake is, says scripts next to it. Click the snake (after importing)
OmgItsaGhost! Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Hmmm. Well I didn't get a chance to try that but it appears to have worked on its own O.o
