For the boots, you'd have to import the whole thing into Blender, chop the feet off as high as you can, adjust the boots so it looks ok, then export again.

That doesn't sound too bad. I'll give it a shot, thanks :)

Since I don't know how much you know, when you get the nif out make sure you edit the BSShaderPPLightingProperty on the body object so that Shader Type is SHADER_SKIN, and Shader Flags has SF_FaceGen checked. Otherwise the body won't take the correct skintone.

If you already know this, apologies :)

I know just about nothing xD so thanks for the heads up :)

I only got as far as I did because of Sen4mi's direction from another thread for switching footwear :) Hopefully as time goes on I'll start getting the hang of all of this.

Okay I have to ask here because I can't seem to find a good guide at all for this, but how do you set up Blender to import nif files? I followed a guide on my laptop and it didn't work at all. After about an hour of messing around with the programs I finally got it to where it allowed me to click the import nif option, but when I got to the nif files themselves, they couldn't be clicked.

Not sure what you mean' date=' did the models themselves import into blender fine?

Nope. That's where I'm having the problem. I have to download like Python and PyFFi or something, right? Then a nif plugin for Blender?

Here'swhere I'm at now. This is after I went to file, import, nif file selection (gamebryo and the other name I can't remember), then went to the whole data folder thing for New Vegas, meshes, armor, RE pack and that's where I am in this screen.

Looks like your script is failing to run properly. Not sure why I'm afraid, if you've got that far I'd expect it to work.

All humans use 1 skeleton, Skeleton.nif

No beasts races in New Vegas :)

It wouldn't be because the clothing pack is Japanese, would it? I wouldn't think so since it works fine in the game but I figure it's worth a mention.

Hmm, I may be being dense here, but try switching the main viewport to 3d View.

Bottom left, where the snake is, says scripts next to it. Click the snake :) (after importing)
