How do weight sliders/sizes work?

I was just wondering how the different weight/sizes of armors work in FO. I noticed from using body slide for Honest Abe's series that the armors have a heavy, medium and light variants, but was unsure what determines the look in game. My chara started off with the light variant and I assumed its cause she is skinny but I then changed her to muscular however the armor didn't change, which isn't what I was expecting. Anyone know how it actually works?

Light/medium/heavy for that mod simply means that they're different items that you can equip (or it means you can only have one built at the same time with BodySlide and it will replace the current one).

The weight triangle of Fallout 4 has nothing to do with all that or BodySlide.

All it does is scale/move skeleton bones around, which is unrelated to any .nif or BodySlide morph stuff.

If you want to get the body you see in BodySlide, your triangle should be at the very center.

I know this is going to sound stupid of me, but the in game weight slider does reshape the  CBBE body to some degree (and gives a little more variety) it also works on the clothes to I found. But that's the skeleton reshaping right?

But I not going to argue on if you want the exact CBBE body you made it has to be in the center of the triangle.

Yes, it's "reshaping" the body and outfits by moving and scaling the bones of the skeleton, which they are weighted to.
