Zazemel Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Not all for fancy page layouts. Unless you want to help. Just made a new race (like 5 days ago) Only problem is the head mesh I made, is heavily glitched. I can't get it to drop down at all in nifskope...Not sure wtf is wrong with it. It could be the tri file but I have no idea... If you guys want to help with it I can give you the file to aid me. :F BTW Nifskope translation parameters do not affect it at all... So till that's fixed it's going to be beta. Download here. Drow Race
shedidwhat Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 got it, getting ready to start a char with it thank you also the images you have uploaded with the mod if they are tera armors you might want to replace as you know the nexus moderators are kinda picky
DARTHANIMAL Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I am insterested in this. I just saw it at Nexus and I can't see clearly the ears from the screenshots. The skin and hair color look good but I would like to see an image that could show clearly the ears shape on this custom race.
shedidwhat Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 hmm Drow has a CBBE femalebody mesh in the DROW folder but my Drow is using my default UNP mesh ?
DARTHANIMAL Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Thanks for the screenshots. Really nice race mod. ----- [spoiler=Screenshots] From the screenshots, I don't know if this is Skyrim, Dungeons and Dragons or Final Fantasy but I just know that this is a really amzing Drow Race mod. Thanks for your mod, it si the first custom elf race that I like.
Zazemel Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 hmm Drow has a CBBE femalebody mesh in the DROW folder but my Drow is using my default UNP mesh ? I'm working on the body bugs. Check the latest update. The body mesh isn't CBBE because it's directory is the same as the vanilla body. so if you have unp replacing this, then the body won't change. I just happen to have it installed. CK is weird like that.

Well they aren't racy at all. They had a rule about not posting links to here. But nothing about images from mods. Unless they were extremely racy. -- Nice screenshots guys. :>

Unless they were extremely racy. Nice screenshots guys. :> Well, they actually kinda are. For the image uploading section, their image uploading's rules mention to not upload images related with other games. About this matter, I always wonder why there was not problem with the model and textures related with WoW, The Witcher, Starcraft and many other games that became a content on Nexus mods. Well, I personally don't care the body or size of breast that you made on the mod. I like how it is right now not matter what changes you may do. It is a great mod and nice Drow looking, even if my Skyrim's final fantasish drow doesn't look as a real drow should be but that is me! Edit: I was just ironic with that for the those that point fingers or flame about their choices as a mod's mistake or error. Edit2: To give some information. Like right now I can have loose files textures and meshes files on my data folder I use a BSA for your Drow Race mod and I have Ashen race as a BSA aswell and both worked really good without any issue. This is just in case that someone wonder or say that there is some kind of incompatibility.

I'm TRYING to get SkinNaked to allow the drow race to stay on None when it comes to armor race. But nothing appears on them if I don't set to default. And the problem with that is, working, the drow body replace the child body. UGH... CK needs a manual. Trying every combination. Having it exactly like vanilla does not work, they have some hard coded things going on.

The CK won't allow it, becasue it's not designed to display armor/clothing, as it's reserved for beast races. Just wondering... did you build the race with RaceCompatability.esm set as a secondary master in the CK, and generic race controller installed? The CK can be a real piece of shit sometimes. But if you look hard enough, you can find ways around a lot of the restrictions, and make it do things Bethesda obviously didn't intend LOL

Right now the race works without it but there is a tiny glitch in the body. I'm going to say fuck it and make a new body race like default. For the sake of keeping the body's separate. It's really weird though. I choose default race on both, then All the body parts apply to both races and not just one... It's irritating.

[/quote'] Wait.... are you making "just" the adult and child races? If so, it isn't going to work as you want. So this might be your workaround: make the adult race with a non-playable vampire variant (playable characters and non-playable variants can use different body parts). Then on the right hand side of the race form, remove the keywords for vampires, and it "might" work if it does, repeat the process for the child race so you actually end up with 4 races in total Perhaps when I have a bit of time I'll take a look at it in the CK.

I just tried making another race for the body and that failed. The race itself is invisible but when I set the armor race of the drow to it, they get their body again but armor is invisible. :< I opened armors to see which races are being enabled, and they need to be on default race just to be able. But when I do that they share the same body. WHY is it making both races have the same parts? The parts are named differently. UGH I can't even remove the highlight on them. Once I do and go back, it's back on them. My only problem is that when I don't set to default race, armor wont appear, if I set all the body parts to the correct race but add the race itself to default, the torso does not get applied to the body and its discolored AKA human race body without my custom skin and body. Let me know if you find a solution.
Zazemel Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 I realized whats wrong but not how to fix it. SkinNaked has its own Foot Hand and torso files, but it ads my race to it's list. I can't get them off the list for some reason....

[/quote'] I'll load it up in the CK tomorrow sometime and see what I can manage to make work for you But once you add a race to a formlist, it cannot be removed unless you delete the form from the .esp in TESVSnip or something similiar. The only other way is to delete the race entirely in the CK and remake it with new part forms. Believe me... I know your pain when it comes to working with this trainwreck CK LOL But keep at it. You'll eventually learn ways to work around it's inadequacies.

AT86312 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Whenever I make a Drow it doesn't have any "shout" voice, is this normal or just me having problems?
Trykz Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Whenever I make a Drow it doesn't have any "shout" voice' date=' is this normal or just me having problems? [/quote'] Sounds like the default voice type is set to "None" on the race page.... I haven't had a chance to look at this in the CK yet, but I'll try ad get to it later this evening or first thing in the morning. I have to strip out the scripting and rename my skeleton file before I install this so it doesn't get overwritten.
ludux Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Fantastic, exciting mod, I'm really looking forward to playing with this. One question, if I may - is this a nude version, or with undies?

JenSeven Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Will you post a separate download here with the non-underwear child, since this is not the Nexus, or will only have one on the Nexus?

ToJKa Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Very nice, though i think the default colors do not allow black enough skin tone, or white enough hair color. So i used the extended color patcher: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/596970359686333978?tab=public
