On Start New Game, Game Never Loads

I can load savegames fine. But, when I start a new game, it never starts.

I have waited 5 hours, so I know it's actually NOT going to start.

Here's my disgustingly complicated load order, and I'm sure something's wrong in there, I just cant figure out what.

If there's any help other than just reinstalling, it'd be preferred?

Try moving alternate start to the bottom of your load order.

Nothing changed.

The main menu music keeps playing, and a pointer is on the screen - same as before. Just like if the menu UI had dissapeared, but the game never actually started.

By any chance do you have SafetyLoad intsalled? If not, try it out. A couple of days ago I was messing with DynDOLOD and my game experienced ILS. SafetyLoad fixed my issue.

 

The strange thing was, I was using DynDOLOD on a previous save and I could test stuff with no issues. I too wanted to try a start a new save but every time I clicked "New" I was stuck with ILS. I even tried doing a fresh install of Skyrim and as long as I had DynDOLOD activated in my load order i would get ILS. I read multiple forums for hours until I came across the SafetyLoad fix. Even with DynDOLOD activated, as long as SafetyLoad was installed, i could finally load a "New" game. Give it a shot.

Try reinstalling racemenu. I had this issue and something else i had removed had stuffed racemenu on its way out the door.
