Setekh Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Hey guys, I've been messing with my install a bit over the last few days, I'm not sure this problem is something I've created or what but have a look at the image. See the sharp difference between the rocks and the water? It seems as if the water in my game is no longer affected by Depth of field any more, not only that but everything that ISN'T water has a heavy blur added to it. if I look at anything other than water then my DoF works fine, objects close to me are sharp and objects further are gradually blurred except the water. I've not touched the enbeffectprepass.fx file at all. Any ideas?
Setekh Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Hm, not surprised this didn't get any answers. Regardless, I've found the culprit. If you have ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false you'll get this bug, setting it to true resolved it and DoF now works as it should for both water and land objects. Only drawback is that I can't use 124 as my initial heap size for the SKSE memory patch because values over 768 will cause Skyrim to shit the bed.
allsunday Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Thank you for this. For being very detailed and writing out that there is an inherent problem when setting Initial Heap Size past 768 in the SKSE.ini file. I had it set to 1024 and couldn't figure out why my Skyrim kept crashing after I re-enabled ExpandSystemMemory.
