Need help figuring out what's causing my game to CTD (New game/loading saves)

I've been trying for several days to get my CTD issue under control. I'm aware that the game isn't very stable to begin with. I've been playing the game for a long time so I'm not a noob with this kind of stuff really. I can usually figure out the issue relatively easily, but I can't with this one.

I've merged some plugins beforehand and they've worked fine. I've been using many of these mods for a long time and never had any mod related crashes. I've had hundreds of ENB related crashes, so CTDs aren't a new thing to me. I've tried uninstalling several script-heavy mods and that doesn't seem to have helped it. I've tried uninstalling mods I knew I wasn't going to be using or haven't used in a while. I've tried reinstalling my skeleton and body files. I use the Ningheim race almost predominantly, and while that mods has issues of it's own that can't really be fixed, I can still play the game for a while.

The problem usually persists though loading a previously saved game. I'll load up the save, and it'll chug along on the load screen for a little bit and it'll either load or it'll CTD somewhere along the way. Here's the thing though: It doesn't always CTD. It doesn't always load the save. I've tried starting new games and it still happens. It appears to be random, but consistent in when it crashes. Usually I can get a save to load after starting up a new game.

SKSE is up to date. FNIS is up to date. XPMSE is up to date. RaceMenu is up to date. etc, etc. I've got the memory updates and all that. I'm also using SafetyLoad, and Stable uGrids To Load. At this point, I'm fairly certain it's a load order issue. However I'm not sure where since LOOT doesn't seem to want to work all the time and ends up dropping a lot of plugins at the bottom of my load order for no reason at all.

It's also possible that there's a patch conflict issue. I use Ordinator, and CACO along with the patches to make them compatible with each other. I've got other patches for other mods that work together too. I've merged most of my Climates of Tamriel plugins together and those appear to be fine.

I've also tried starting a brand new mod profile and I used a bare minimum of the mods I knew I was going to use. The basic stuff, and then I added in the Ningheim Race along with other character creation mods. I didn't crash then, and I had only about 15 plugins loaded. Normally I have around 240 plugins, merged, or otherwise.

This is what my load order currently looks like. ESP files mixed in with ESM files at the top are there because they're supposed to be. Beyond that, it's a crapshoot.

I know what you mean. I've been playing a game for several days now, no problem. But whenever I get near any dwarven ruin on the surface, or try opening the door to a place (usually after COC'ing there,) it CTD's on the spot, no warning. I've tried using COC to port into multiple interior levels inside the dwarven ruins, and I always CTD.

 

Thing is, this only started happening when I installed the Sexlab mods. So I'm wondering if one of them conflicts? The only way I can think of to check with a "more or less" clean game is to load a new character, coc over to mzulft, say, and see if it crashes the game. But even if it does, what does that tell me, exactly? That the game just doesn't work. Not sure where to go with that.

 

I ran LOOT, and made sure everything was up to date. I'm also using the "lite" version of the High-Def textures on the Nexus.

As an experiment, I disabled the "dwemmer" folder in the textures, forcing the game to use the default graphics, and it still bombed on trying to load the dungeon.

If it's crashing on loading a save and starting a new game, as in after you press done, it usually has something to do with scripts. Usually means you got too many.

 

A couple things I noticed, why are you running the SD patch for frostfall without actually using frostfall. What version of SD are you using? Newer versions neither need that or come with it.

Why are you using SL Defeat, Submit AND Death alternative? That's like asking for things to break.
