MrCasual Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I need some assistance with a project here. I'm 99% done with this model but I wanted to edit the skeleton to lengthen her arms, and editing the skeleton doesn't seem to do anything... The arms are supposed to be closer to the left, but I've tried scaling bones, I've tried moving bones, nothing really worked... Gallery of model so far for anyone interested http://imgur.com/a/W00ku
mikupie Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Oh god, if i could play as midna in FO4.... Dreams man. I wish i could help, good luck.
Ubercharge Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Im not sure what is this, but that character creeps me the fuck out
herminia Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 She is the Twilight Princess from Zelda. That is her cursed form, at the end of the game the curse is lifted and she becomes the hottest female from the Zelda series.
mewwwkittytt Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Be sure to let us know when you release it.
MrCasual Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 No one here knows? Also should I have posted this on non-adult or adult section? I figured more of the modders and people that know their way around skeletons and body models would hang around the adult section. ...And also i'm pretty sure there might be a lot of people here that want to bang Imp Midna, too.
Groovtama Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 What skeleton, Fallout 4 uses only one of the 4 skeletons nifs that are in the meshes. And if you do a character like this you should redirect the path and make a copy of the skeleton.nif in that path and edit in there. I don't know how skeleton.hkx needs to be edited for Fallout 4 to change scales, Skyrim doesn't had to but that could have been a Skyrim Havok engine bug, because rig maps have a scale value and they just enforced it in Skyrim. Translatation and rotation were enforce in Skyrim.
MrCasual Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Yeah, I'll do that when Geck comes. Also, four skeletons?? I know of the face skeleton...what and where are the others?
Groovtama Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Yeah, I'll do that when Geck comes. Also, four skeletons?? I know of the face skeleton...what and where are the others? 1 skeleton.nif -> USED 2 skeleton_facebones_female/male.nifs -> UNUSED 1 some raider skeelton.nif (don't know the actual name anymore) -> UNUSED

I'll try those then.

I guess they are also used with all complex facial animations. Don't know for sure tho. To OP, scaling and moving bones work, but not properly. For scaling you need to edit both the bone node and the skin node (and all other nodes if there are more layers). For moving you need to right click --> apply. However, I'm sure you won't like the results lol. BTW, backup before you try. Transform cannot be undone.

Like any other race.

EDIT: Transform / apply doesn't seem to work on the hands.
MrCasual Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Yeah I dunno whats going on. It won't change the orientation of the hands no matter what I do, but it will change the forearms and arms... http://imgur.com/a/MpElp

Only in that one scene tho, so I don't know how the game handles different skeleton nifs. Wait, PC uses a standalone race?

Yeah I dunno whats going on. It won't change the orientation of the hands no matter what I do, but it will change the forearms and arms... http://imgur.com/a/MpElp If you mean with orientation, translation or rotation, those are havok enforced, no matter what you change in the skeleton.nif they are overwritten from the reference pose from skeleton.hkx.
MrCasual Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Is it possible to make a standalone skeleton.hkx for a race mod? Or would that require something like Fnis since its an animation file?

Serenna187 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Honestly,i would prefer to see midna in her true form for once, imp version just doesn't cut it.plus true form is easier to make i would say,and prettier by a long shot
MrCasual Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 Is it alright for me to release this here, since its a port from a Nintendo game? I figured someone might like me to go ahead and release the current model. I got into trouble last time I posted a link to a ported model...
oniric1 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 is the same rule you cannot give asset from other game( but who really care about Nintendo)
MrCasual Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Alright. I guess if anyone wants it they'll have to send me a PM or add me on Steam. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998702500/

That quest will involve removing the curse on her.
