Institute

Pros:

1. Clean environment

2. Your son leads the Institute (could be con to some)

3. More advanced tech compared to the rest of the wasteland

4. Epic battles in Bunker Hill, Mass Fusion and Boston Airport

5. You become its leader in the end

6. Might be able to bring its tech to the surface, make it better

7. Soundtrack

8. Maintains the Classic Radio

Cons:

1. Shaun doesn't care about you until the very end

2. Doesn't give a fuck about the wastelanders

3. Immoral experiments like FEV

4. Some scientists are even haughtier than the Thalmor

5. Can't move child Shaun to his parents' home

6. X6-88 is a cunt

BoS

Pros:

1. Incomparable gunfire

2. Prydwen is cool

3. Quest givers are nice to you except Maxson

4. PA as a present

5. Most advanced military tech in the Wasteland

Cons:

1. Racist

2. Self-righteous

3. Doesn't give a fuck to the wastelanders after Maxson became Elder

4. Hates Elder Lyons

5. Maxson is a cunt

6. Vertibirds are weak af

Railroad

Pros:

1. Ballistic Weave

2. Deacon is funny

3. Eh...Desdemona is voiced by Aela's voice actress

4. Well... an extra fast travel point in the Spectacle Island?

Cons:

1. Doesn't give a fuck about the wastelanders (Synth=the only existence that matters)

2. Tinker Tom is a psychopath

3. Doesn't care if the freed synths want to nuke the world

4. Desdemona's doc lieutenant is as haughty as a haughty Institute scientist

5. The HQ is messy

6. Betrays Liam despite his continuous assistance

7. Too idealistic without the thought to bear the consequences

8. A significant portion of its main quests is the Institute's

Minutemen

Pros:

1. The only faction care about the people

2. Epic battles in the Institute and the two defenses of the Castle

3. Can coexist with the most factions

4. Artillery

Cons:

1. You are a figurehead of Garvey and Shaw

2. Garvey, Shaw and the minutemen almost don't pay respect to you

3. "As usual..." "Another settlement..."

4. Least amount of story

BOS - Another military gang, like raiders and gunners. They hide their desire to grow a dick to bigger.

RR - Sewerage punks with a mind disease. Nobody cares about synths, when humanity on the brink of extinction. And you live in the sewers and eat a rat meat. Freed synth - "I never asked for it".

MM - Simple guys, men of action rather than words.

Institute - I can become a Institute chief. Make a new production line of synth for sex and live in a clean place, sleep on a clean bed, eat a tasty and normal food and drink a really clean water. And i can be a little evil, kidnap some girls for my lesbi harem...

p.s. most important part of Institute - working, modern looking showers in post apocalyptic time!

I choose the Institute myself because BoS and RR are shits. Garvey is even shittier than Maxson and Desdemona combined.

BOS because I just plain hated the Commonwealth and would prefer seeing the people and Synths enslaved or annihilated. Not to mention a bias left over from the original three games (FO1, 2, and Tactics, never played BOS). The Synths are Terminators so the Institute and RR are out and the Minutemen in every aspect were done so poorly it will take a lot to redeem them as anything other than the "busy work" faction.

I chosed Bos, nothing any particular reason behind it.

I beat father down with a wrench when I first met him.

When I met the brotherhood, when the guy who asked me to go shake down farmers I shot him, then worked my way back up to Maxon and killed him with the deathclaw gauntlet.

Then the Railroad, them, I keep meaning to go back and kill them.

The Minute Men are boring but its kinda great when some homeless looking guy in a cowboy hat picks you up in a vertabird.

Needless to say it was a quick story for me, but I didn't have any interest in the main story in the first place. It was kinda funny though when Garvey had me shoot the Prydwen down. I mean, it was just a floating graveyard in the sky.

I really hope someone in the future will make the Prydwen as a player home and allow us to fly our own Vertibird to take off like a flying aircraft carrier.  That's my main interest in BOS.

Minutemen, the only faction trying to improve the living of the people. But I gave Preston the general outfit after the destruction of the institute and told him, that there are some settlements that need his help ... ;)

BoS is nice in what they achieved, but way too fanatic.

Railrood is only obscure/funny ... I mean, I really like Nick but releasing a lot of feeling robots and completely ignoring the commenwealth people is not my cup of tea.

Institute ... I had a hard time to not shoot "my" son in the head...
