The sentinel are hard censored.

The first tier outfit is an extreme T string one piece on them kids.

Even if Aeria did a lot of censoring on them.

you can always replace the censored DDS with Uncensored DDS.

Emily just tinkered scarlet blade asset and it's so much easier to mod them than oblivion.

.. at least the textures. :)

Ok, anyone tested the game? Aside from the hotness, is the gameplay good, or is it just another sexy but empty try?

I tried it a bit (to lvl 17) and I would say it is an empty try. WoW like is the best word to describe that comes into my mind. Quests, the whole gameplay, handling from charakter to mount is all like in the mmos we get for years. But that is my personal opnion (I don't reale like these old mmo mechanics at all) and there are people who enjoy it.

So please by all means make up your on opnion. It is free to play and the download is with under 2 GB not that huge (when I recall correctly).

OK, tested the game quickly:

- Not a bad game overall, but it needs more variety to provide more depth...

- Graphically it needs a lot of improvement, even with an enhancer like sweetfx the game is not on par with nowadays standard. Particularly for a game selling it's characters sexiness as a strong point :)

For a free game, I can't really complain, but my first impression is that it lacks some "polish" to be really good :)

Note Everybody who still wants to play Queen's Blade!!!

This game is already released in the US but it is still in beta version, so do NOT expect what you expected, however it still plays well and offers a variety of things like most online open beta online MMORPGs. However it's current name in the US is right now is Scarlet Blade. Name was probably changed to Scarlet Blade since Japanese people already have an anime already released in the US called Queen's Blade, in other words: copyright issues.

Here is the link: http://scarletblade.aeriagames.com/ageverify

There, you guys happy now.

P.S.

Another game coming to US soon from South Korea is Kritika Online for open beta testing. If you don't feel like waiting, you can go ahead and jump on board the open beta, assuming you can read Korean of course and have a Korean account similar to hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc...

I tried playing this game, and I feel like making some ovservations:

Installing the game installs Akamai's netsession_win.exe in your AppData\Local\Akamai\ directory (under your home directory).  This program runs all the time and has a dozen or so open network connections to various servers.  It's reasonable to use Akamai to avoid game lag from people downloading the game client but I am not convinced that it will not introduce latency in other network games - it runs all the time.  Fortunately, you can delete it whenever (the game will automatically re-install it when you start the launcher).

The launcher sets itself to automatically start on reboot without asking you.

There's also a "slb" service that gets installed.

Anyways, ... installing this thing feels invasive to me - it's difficult to just turn the thing off when you are not playing.

Meanwhile, the game itself is not an RPG so is not an MMORPG - it's a tactical simulator, and not a role playing game.  And by this I mean that the game goes to great lengths to rub your nose in the idea that this is not your character. Instead, every third quest seems to make reference to the idea that you are the character's "commander". Sometimes your character will be resenting you, according to the quest text. Much of this is fourth-wall-breaking (an early series of quests has your character unable to communicate with anyone and in one of them she is complaining that you are sitting in your armchair while she is doing all the work).

And the graphics are make the characters look like plastic toys. Only the Sentinel class has plausibly sized boobs (probably b-cup), and there's almost no costume variation once you have picked a class for your character.

And, of course, it's a pay-to-win game, which utterly destroys any sense of accomplishment, in my opinion.

Some of the voice acting is plausible.

All of the sexual content that I saw was "bare skin and innuendo", there's no romance that I could see. There are numerous male NPCs, though female NPCs with speaking parts seem to outnumber male NPCs with speaking parts. But gameplay is mostly just MMO paced combat. It's so heavily focused on combat that to open a chest or open a "door" you attack it with your weapon. There are also a fair number of trigger-based quests, but ... no romance that I could see. Apparently any romance in this game is supposed to stay between you and your character, or something like that.

If you are looking for a slow-paced tactical combat game where you are meant to be married to your plastic-doll-looking character and where real-life money can buy you the ability to overpower other players' characters, or if you are looking for some innuendo laced in with traditional MMORPG mechanics but without any danger of any actual role play, and if you do not mind an invasive system of programs running on your computer then this might be the game for you.
