Guest Donkey Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Usable toilets with flush sounds.. For fallout 3. What is next an npc taking an dump.. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/17566
Slammer64 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Sometimes I think some folks try and take "realism" too far...
johneb Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Does this mean we shouldn't drink out of toilets anymore?
Cezul Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Well, we have bloatfly pregnancies and crazy dog sex. Why the fuck not. LOL
ChancellorKremlin Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Personally, I wouldn't mind a a bathing or shower mod myself. Not too fussed about the 'natural needs' mods either.
Guest Loogie Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Does this mean we shouldn't drink out of toilets anymore? It means you should drink out of them more often.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 It makes more sense than DRINKING from an abandoned and unmaintained toilet centuries after a nuclear war. Oh also, it could be they just like toilet humor.
fritz_t_coyote Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 The clean, usable bathtub is a nice touch. Even nicer would be a clean, usable, functional bathtub... Loogie, what are the chances you might slice out that vault 19 bathtub as a modder's resource? It would make a great enhancement to a player house, wash away those nasty old rads. (And possibly remove the smell of sex?)
sen4mi Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I am reminded of some toilets, I think in Lonesome Road, where the radiation from the toilet was a small fraction of the radiation from the sink.
Guest user29 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Well' date=' we have bloatfly pregnancies and crazy dog sex. Why the fuck not. LOL [/quote'] bloatfly pregnancies aren't in yet! We're not that deprived. Gotta stick mainly to the deathclawz.
Kashked Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Hell, I downloaded... Can never get "too much" gritty realism in Fallout, that's mine opinion...

[/quote'] That bathtub is actually a nasty hack and makeable by anyone -- it's actually a chair with the NIF changed, no sitting data, and a script for fade to black, time advancement and rad removal attached.

Halstrom Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 So there's no changes in animations with this to conflict with Sexout by the sounds of it?
KainsChylde Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 They ported it to new vegas *facepalm* http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46043 Tear it apart and see.
DeadSomething Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 i like the idea of adding more realism. i didnt have my character drink from those toilets ever - not because of the radiation, but because its a toilet.
deathparade Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 i did once... but that was because i didn't knew my character would fuckin' drink from it! then i laughed really hard!
DeadSomething Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 yes, same when i first encountered a toilet, but i never did that again (at least not intentionally, but when i was trying to defuse some energycell toilet trap).
New User Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 This kind of mods tend to be very cool... when NPCs, in addition to PC, are included. I mean, it's unfair and unrealistic that only the player has to eat/drink/sleep/pee/poo/etc, but I guess that expanding those behaviors to NPCs would be complicated to implement(except, maybe, if there's a master of scripting with free time willing to make those kinda mods). Maybe extreme realism will never be part of any game. Maybe games are supposed to not be realistic. Surely RL and game should not melt, but finding elements inherent of one on another is always amazing.
DeadSomething Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 well, there are games that are very close to realism: ARMA2 with ACRE and ACE mod. but those are called "simulator" and arent easy to learn to play and can sometimes be very frustrating. if FO3 were realistic and absolutely balanced, there would be no leveled list, you wouldnt level up, you would maybe raise some skills by using them (trial and error) and they would decrease over time if not used regularly. you could starve, die by dehydration, bleeding, infection, disease and get cancer/leukemia by radiation. you would definitely die before you reach the GNR building in the main quest, just because you got hit and dont have enough medical supplies and no doctor around. so maybe its best to have some games which are just fun and others that are simulators.
