The clean, usable bathtub is a nice touch.

Even nicer would be a clean, usable, functional bathtub...

Loogie, what are the chances you might slice out that vault 19 bathtub as a modder's resource? It would make a great enhancement to a player house, wash away those nasty old rads. (And possibly remove the smell of sex?)

bloatfly pregnancies aren't in yet! We're not that deprived. Gotta stick mainly to the deathclawz.

That bathtub is actually a nasty hack and makeable by anyone -- it's actually a chair with the NIF changed, no sitting data, and a script for fade to black, time advancement and rad removal attached.

This kind of mods tend to be very cool... when NPCs, in addition to PC, are included. I mean, it's unfair and unrealistic that only the player has to eat/drink/sleep/pee/poo/etc, but I guess that expanding those behaviors to NPCs would be complicated to implement(except, maybe, if there's a master of scripting with free time willing to make those kinda mods).

Maybe extreme realism will never be part of any game. Maybe games are supposed to not be realistic. Surely RL and game should not melt, but finding elements inherent of one on another is always amazing.

well, there are games that are very close to realism: ARMA2 with ACRE and ACE mod.

but those are called "simulator" and arent easy to learn to play and can sometimes be very frustrating.

if FO3 were realistic and absolutely balanced, there would be no leveled list, you wouldnt level up, you would maybe raise some skills by using them (trial and error) and they would decrease over time if not used regularly.

you could starve, die by dehydration, bleeding, infection, disease and get cancer/leukemia by radiation.

you would definitely die before you reach the GNR building in the main quest, just because you got hit and dont have enough medical supplies and no doctor around.

so maybe its best to have some games which are just fun and others that are simulators.
