Xenoramos Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi everyone! It's me again. Now my problem is about my follower. She often becomes invisible by reason unknown during travelling. At beginning I thought that she stucks somewhere, but actually she was near me, just invisible. She keeps all of her functionality, but it's a bit uncomfortably when not see her. Now I know only one way to negate that bug - saving and reloading game. Save\Load not working. Can it be because of DD restraints I put on her? Or may be some conflict in UFO? Or there is some other thing causing such a bug? Problem can not start from follower mod, because she uses all standard resources, except hair. No custom scripts, no custom dialogues. That problem happens earlier, but now it appear every 10-15 min. Anyone have any ideas, how it can be solved?
Guest endgameaddiction Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Are you using HDT gear? In specific HDT armor replacer? I had a problems with invisible NPCs and even followers because of this. I decided to remove it and go with the non HDT armors instead and all is working fine.
4nk8r Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Are you using HDT gear? In specific HDT armor replacer? I had a problems with invisible NPCs and even followers because of this. I decided to remove it and go with the non HDT armors instead and all is working fine. I've experienced the same issue, but it didn't happen to me all the time. If you don't want to give up HDT armors, find out the reference ID numbers of your followers and use some console commands to make them visible. Easiest way to do this is take a load/save where everyone is visible, open the console and click on the NPC. If the name of the target shown doesn't match your NPC's name, roll the scroll wheel on your mouse slowly until the target changes to what you're seeking. If you notice you're looping through the same items and the NPC name never shows up and you can't get them targeted, close the console window to get a better angle or move closer and then try again. Record their Reference ID's (not Base ID), and then when they go invisible, open the console again and type this: prid refid disable enable Replace "refid" with their Reference ID #. Now close the console and your NPC should be visible. This can also happen with non-follower NPC's on cell entry, so if some NPC you're seeking isn't visible, the same steps can be applied. While all vanilla Skyrim reference ID's are available on several of the wiki's online, other mods don't seem to provide the same level of detail, so if you do these steps, you can discover those other reference ID's: Open the console and type: save <some_file_name_you_select> 1 ex: save findnpc 1 This will create a save with an additional file ending with .ess, which should also pop open in Notepad after the save is completed. Do a text search for the name of the NPC and you should find the reference and base ID info listed. Use the same prid id and disable/enable steps as above and the NPC should show up...if they are nearby you, that is. If the NPC is in another location, disable/enable will not make them appear next to you (this is possible, however via other means). Hope this helps you.

This solution sounds like it'll need to be done every time my follower vanishes? I'll try it out tomorrow, hope it will be not just temporary. Oh, almost forget, refid is my follower's ID, that shows on console, when I click on her? If so, it'll not be difficult to find it, as I can figure out her location by dialogue window.

Yes, you'll need to do this every time it happens, though it happens considerably less since I switched to HDT-SMP instead of HDT-PE.

I used Google, found it only on chinese site (at least, Google translate says it's chinese), but download button there isn't work, can you point me on right download link, please? And that HDT-SMP is compatible with HDT-PE armors or requires it's own ones?

That works, but sometimes spell is unavailible to cast, like cooldown, but seems it's cooldown is very short, if not immediately. So question is: what causes it's inaccessibility some time?
beeknee Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 : Xenoramos Problem can not start from follower mod, because she uses all standard resources, except hair. Are you using HDT hair on your follower? I've had HDT hair on a follower make her invisible when moving between cells. Changed her to regular hair and she was fine.

No' she have haircut from Apachii Hair Pack, no-HDT. I don't know is there any add-on for HDT. Only hair I know with HDT is marieRose Wig. Other ones I haven't installed.

Only F5/F9 have a chance to make it useable then.
