apetecanejanderporer Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Well, I just have a small question for the modders (as the title says). I's a simple question: it will be very hard to port/converse/rebuild the Cursed armor mod for oblivion to Skyrim? In the aspect of scripting a all of that, in the aspect of meshes, animations and textures I know it will be a pain in the ass. I think it will be cool to port it and finish/expand the mod, so I'm asking, and I might try to do it.
myuhinny Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 If it was a fallout NV mod you could of used outfit studio but since it's a pblivion you  can't as it'll crash it. To port it you would have to use blender/3dmax. If any of that armor is animated those would have to be redone to remove the shape keys which work for oblivion but will crash skyrim.  Porting something will all depend on the mesh the tools used and the persons experience.
apetecanejanderporer Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 In the aspect of meshes and animations I know is very hard, but, in the aspect of scripting, in theory isn't very hard, right?
Guest Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 The mod you are speaking about is not really heavy scripted, so it should not be a big effort. But the scripting language of Oblivion is not the same used by Skyrim. So any script has to be re-written.
apetecanejanderporer Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 Damn it, but, with a bit of work, it can be done. In a few days, I'll try to do it. Anyone wants to help me?
