Shinshila Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hi, I have question about NPC and object animations. I am create animation in 3d blender for NPC and for object. Animations in blender synchronized (totaly 60 frames 30frame/sec). I am insert my animation in game. And now I have question. When I start animation in game, I see what object animation little faster then character animation, but both of them have identical parameters (totaly 60 frames 30frame/sec), why object animation faster then character one ? Its some kind of game engine or some kind of mechanic for animated objects ?
gregathit Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hard to tell. Post the blender files and someone can take a look. Animations playing for a long time can become out of sequence, but this should not happen for short stuff.........unless you are looping indefinitely.
D_ManXX2 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 oblivion is 30 frames game so if you make an animation who is 60 frames it will look hyper fast in game. As for object sorry i don't know much about it never used it much. If the animation is little faster then maybe that is the split second out of sync happening. oblivion and fallout games where always having this out of sync happening and there was never a fix for it.

I'm sure what object animation speed not equal character animation speed. I try change lenght of character animation from 30 frames to 25 - 26 frames, in game both animation synchronized in first 8 - 10 seconds and after again they out of sync. I think its game engine.
gregathit Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Well for starters, you should NEVER have two different speeds. That is always going to result in issues. Redo the animation so that both have the same number of frames and run at the same speed. You'll not have any issues that way.

In game this animation out of sync (I checked it out) I take botton take player, put them on one point and start animation on both of them and look what happens. test anim.7z
D_ManXX2 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 just because it look ok in blender does not neccecary look ok in game. These 2 are totally differrent things. these games are always prone to get out of sync really quick. Nothing has ever been done to make it look ok it is game limitation/ engine bug when 2 things plays at the same time. This will become more noticible the bigger the animation becomes. Lovers with pk had work around like shuffling the animation when out sync happens but it still does not fully fix an out of sync animation completely.
