Mookeylama Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 i want to remove a couple npcs from a larger overhaul, and i know i can just remove their record under Nonplayer actors using Tes5edit. but should i also remove their head parts records, texture set, armor and armor addon entries as well? i've tested by removing only the actor entry and it seems to work. but thought maybe removing unused head part, armor entries ect, might help the game by not needing to load unused stuff

Maybe a millionth of a second. I'm exaggerating, but you see my point. just remember to remove the npc record in TES5edit and the facegendata in the meshes and texture folder for that specific npc as well.
-alpha- Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 If I recall resources are only loaded into the game if they are called. But the resource is referenced or indexed. So short answer is, if its not not being called on it should not noticeably affect game performance.
