loopie Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hi guys One or more of my mods, or perhaps the load order is causing CTDs. Game runs excellent when clean. I do not use any mod manager thus far because they are not that good yet and I do not have that many mods and when I tried either MO or NMM it just ended up doing more harm then good. So before I start the long process of adding them 1 by 1 I was wondering if perhaps someone here has had any CTD issues with what I got, also, it could simply be my load order, which is a bit difficult for me to do doing manual installs. Attached are my mod list and my CBBE Body which I made using bodyslide, both CBBE and Bodyslide are dated as updated on Dec 29th on the Nexus, so these are their respective versions. I am not use if the ini file edits are still necessary in the 1.2.3.7 patch of the game, but I kept them along with the mod list in same order in the Plugins file and made the file read only as before. I have added [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= to Fallout4Custom.ini and my my sResourceDataDirsFinal line in Fallout4.ini is sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, INTERFACE\, SOUND\, MUSIC\, VIDEO\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ I do run both launcher and game exe as admin, along with Bodyslide64 which I used to generate the bodies. Here is a list of my esp mods, in their respective load order: CBBE.esp BetterSettlers.esp Higher Female Children Voice.esp Higher Female Protagonist Voice - Type A2.esp ArmorKeywords.esm Armorsmith Extended.esp Armor_Mods_Expanded_v1b2.esp BetterWeaponModDescriptions.esp CraftableAmmo_plus.esp CraftableRangedWeapons.esp DV-Armored Pilots.esp DV-Durable Vertibirds.esp EasyHacking.esp EasyLockpicking.esp EMC - Flannel Shirt + Jeans.esp EMC - Green Shirt + Jeans.esp EMC - Silver Shroud.esp EMC Grognak Costume.esp ENC - All Clothes.esp ENC - Army Fatigues.esp ENC - Baseball Uniform.esp ENC - BOS Uniform.esp ENC - Corset.esp ENC - Gunner Flannel Shirt + Jeans.esp ENC - Gunner Guard Outfit.esp ENC - Gunner Leathers.esp ENC - Long Johns.esp ENC - Military Fatigues.esp ENC - Minuteman Outfit.esp ENC - Minutemen General's Uniform.esp ENC - Road Leathers.esp Faster Terminal Displays (20x).esp Idiot Slut.esp Invisible Clothes - Vault.esp Invisible Harnesses(All).esp InvisibleDirtyArmyFats.esp InvisibleSummerShorts.esp LegendaryModification.esp No Fusion Core Drain.esp No Movement Fusion Core Drain.esp RaidersAreNotNormal.esp Scrap Everything.esp Robot Home Defence.esm WeightlessJunk.esp In addition, I also run http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/978/? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/55413-james-super-porn-retexturing/ as well as the Eyes of Beauty, Young Female Face retexture and Immersive Mouth and teeth, all of which are just texture mods and do not have an esp file. If anyone has had any CTD issues with these or can perhaps spot an outdated ini edit, or wrong load order, I'd appreciate the heads up as that would save me quite a bit of time instead of going through each and every mod. Thanks !
shashou Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Not exactly sure what's wrong but here's a few things that could help:1. Use ModOrganizer and click the "Sort" button to sort your mod order using LOOT. You can find ModOrganizer on the nexus 2. Clean your mods if necessary. Using Tes5Edit. Look up youtube videos on how to do so. 3. Uninstall mods you recently installed (that made you begin to CTD). Start with high script heavy or graphics heavy mods. 4. Use Skyrim Save Game Script Cleaner. 5. Start a new game
Guest Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 If you use (as you should) the version 1.2 of FO4, then for the ini files do this: (From the Nexus article but re-wrote) Fallout4Prefs.ini ------------- ... [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 ... Fallout4Custom.ini ------------- ... [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= ... Keep the whole parameter "sResourceDataDirsFinal" without anything after the equal sign. Not STRING/ nor a space (newlines are OK.) Fallout4.ini ---------------- keep it vanilla. In case you edited it, check the parameter: sResourceDataDirsFinal, and remove it. (or use the same value used in Fallout4Custom.ini) Now, are you aware that there are a bunch of flags still unknown on the FO4 esp/esm file format, do you? FO4Edit is not really handling them (they are Unkown) but they do something. I strongly recommend to avoid ESPs (and especially ESMs) until a real Creation Kit will be out. (I use CBBE.esp, but it is the only one, just because I have an infinite trust in and @Caliente.) Not exactly sure what's wrong but here's a few things that could help:1. Use ModOrganizer and click the "Sort" button to sort your mod order using LOOT. You can find ModOrganizer on the nexus 2. Clean your mods if necessary. Using Tes5Edit. Use Skyrim Save Game Script Cleaner. 5. Start a new game Hi. Is this recommendation for Skyrim or for Fallout4? You sure the "Skyrim Save Game Script Cleaner" has no side effect on a Fallout 4 save? Just asking.
D_ManXX2 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The crash you experience is known one and is caused by mods that edit items to the workshop, armor and weapons workbech etc.. Also known as catagory limit, if too many mods adds allot of new stuff in it and boom you get a crash. Nothing can currently help with this but bethesda to fix modding sections and release geck. i know you don't have this mod in your list but it explains it better then i ever could. Under the section to troubleshoot. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1478/?

I checked LOOT's drop menu but Fallout 4 isnt an option
