brothadesmund Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I've been looking for a mod or some way to bypass this, I know it was added for immersive purposes but to me it's just very tedious to spam the dialogue options until it works. Is there a console command (can't find the quest through help command) to set it to complete automatically? Or maybe something that just straight up lets you talk with a gag on, maybe you need like a quill and parchment or something so it's "immersive"?
sapho888 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 This is an old mod that uses writing utensils to get around the gag dialogue. I'm not sure if it is compatible with current versions of DD as I don't use it though so you will have to try it out. I don't see why it wouldn't work now though. Devious Devices Gag+
aim4it Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I believe that's incompatible with the current version of DDi.
Laura Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm fairly sure it has been replaced by the DDi system.
El_Duderino Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hello, This isn't exactly an answer to your question, but the recently uploaded Non-Devious Devices (or, "Deviously Non-Devious Devious Devices") might be a workaround/replacement if you grow tired of the DD gags. I haven't used them in my game yet, but according to the mod description it includes visual-only copies of the DD items, without all the devious effects.

You could also spawn the DDa version of the devices, with the same result. with the "player.additem [itemname] 1" command.

Fantastic, thank you! I've been using the DD stuff for several months now, basically since I bought Skyrim in one of the Steam sales, but never figured out that there was a difference between how DDa and DDi/e handles the devices.
