Attacking and casting magic stop responding sometimes

Hello everyone,

I have this issue. In game when I start fighting after a few swings with a weapon the game stops responding to attack and magic casting. It isn't related to buttons. I changed them and the problem persists. Also I can't sheath my weapon or cast magic. Other movements, jumping and crouching works fine. Inventory is working fine too. Also when it suddenly start working again there is a huge delay between swings, but after a while it stops again. :-(

This problem happened after I installed Oblivion with all mod to new laptop. Everything is working well except named issue. On older laptop my current build worked pretty nice without this problem.

Things I tried and didn't work: Rebuild bashed patch, 4Gb patch, OBSE update, Oblivion Stutter Remover, Oblivion Animation fixer, Streamline, updated GPU drivers, deleted oblivion.ini

Many of your Mods I don't know so I don't know if there is a conflict.

But you should sort your Mods ! DLCs wrong, Lovers wrong ,....

Do not use LOOT with Oblivion !!! That does not work. Use BOSS and then sort your Lovers Mods manually.

The cast and fight problem: does cast and fight works ? the animations ? A fireball moves right and hits the target ? or the magic and combat animations not working correct? too slow.

Slow Animations, magic spells , moving object like doors, gates, traps,... is the Animation bomb bug (A bomb bug. See my yellow Link ).

Edit: Oh you already fixed a possible A bomb bug, I saw you used "Oblivion Animation fixer"

But if I understand your description correctly that's not the case. So I think it is a Mod conflict or your messed up load order.

And maybe you reduce you Mods...only 6 more esp/esm and your game crashes at start.

I placed most of mods manually and I am not sure which of DLCs or Lovers mod are wrong.

I am going to try BOSS but I think my load order isn't bad. As I said, I played before moving to new laptop with this load order without problems.

And NO Lovers and Tamago Mods in the BashedPatch !

Well it looks like this: I swing with weapon few times or cast a spell and then nothing. Mo animation, no hit,.. It just like pressing unassaigned key. But when I go to controls they are assigned. Even tried to change them, but in game they still do nothing. When I try to change weapon in inventory it says "I cannot change weapons while attacking."

BashedPatch: when you create the BashedPatch No Lovers and Tamago Mods active ( deactivate all, create Bashed Patch, then activate Lovers and Tamago Mods )

You have a new laptop ! Maybe the same problem some people have with a new keybord. Some keybords do not work if you press two key. Yes very gamer unfriendly , or not game compatible . All my friends play with comp ( not Laptop ) and they bought a new keybord or give it back to the shop.

I tried BOSS and then sorted mods manually by examples in your link. After change in load order I still have problems with mentioned attacking and casting spells.

I am pretty sure it's not problem with keyboard. Firstly I have not problems with any other game and secondly I am using external keyboard. So far Oblivion is my first game with this kind of problem.

After moving your mods about, you'll need to rebuild your bashed patch and start a new game.
See if the problem persists after doing that.

Oblivion installed in C:\program files (86) ... ?

That can cause trouble twith may tools (OBSE, Pluggy, Oblivion Modmanager and WryeBash(archive invalidate via Bsa Redirection),.... maybe one the the tools or the game itself therefore does not work properly.

Change the install path !!!! ( see my LInk)

Or you character is in the peace movement faction and do not attack and use spells.

Or buy a new laptop, better a real PC.
