reginol Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7379/? Someone just released one for CBBE. Looks great. That looks awesome. Think we could get the maker on this tread?
kerq Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hey guys, and thanks! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my mod. Still a noob with GIMP so trying to fix problems as they come along. I want to make some tan lines that actually looks more realistic and complete. Gonna search for references, but my time is unfortunately limited the next few days...
reginol Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 Doesn't matter I allready think its nice that so many people are joining this post in an effort to make awesome mods. Didn't expect this tread to take of so well But very glad it did. Happy new year btw.
kerq Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Tried extending the tan lines. Not quite happy with it yet, still need alot of work. Thicken the lines etc. Thoughts, ideas?
reginol Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 Hmm I am personally also a fan of athletic looking textures for example http://www.loverslab.com/topic/55781-2pacs-bodyslide-addon-and-presets/ So maybe an athletic version would be nice

kerq Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Wow, thanks! Lots of inspiration there. Might end up having to do several of them. Gonna need to learn how to make an executable with choices!
XunAmarox Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Can someone please make a tan line mod that goes together with most nude mods. With the way textures work, you can't really make tanlines work with other CBBE textures. You'd have to choose your favorite texture set and then add tanlines as the texture that adds them would replace the other. Adding tanlines to any texture is fairly easy. Just paint the bra & panty marks you want (or whatever) in a white brush and then set the layer to overlay at about 20-30% opacity. I'd recommend using the UV as a guideline though because it can make getting perfectly round or perfectly straight lines that connect really easy.
umaros Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Here is another CBBE tex mod with multiple tan line options: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7485/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D7485%26preview%3D&pUp=1
HeatSeek Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 @umaros - That one looks good also but the thing I found an issue with that one is how the tanlines seem to not really fade. They seem to just end really abruptly on some otherwise I'd say it was a really good one also but it's a nice start to whoever made it. Also maybe it's just my opinion but not many seem to go for a much more intense look for the tanlines themselves.
Jeffglobal Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Here is another popular Skyrim tanline by Xanshio. I used photoshop to get teh skintone closer to Fallout4 CBBE. The bikini is just something I am playing around with in Outfit Studio. Hey, THAT bikini would be cool...it's just a skyrim port? I need to investigate these skyrim armors...
reginol Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Can't wait to see it all in game with the vault meat character and custom vault suit
reginol Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 Its gotten really silent any proggres or is everyone waiting for creation kit?
reginol Posted May 13, 2016 Author Posted May 13, 2016 Is it possable to make tan lines work as a layer that goes over skins. because in combination with cbbe textures it kindof goes haywire
pipdude Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Is it possable to make tan lines work as a layer that goes over skins. because in combination with cbbe textures it kindof goes haywire That would be cool. There is a new looking tint system already in the CK that might make this possible by itself. I haven't had a chance to test yet because other fundamental tools just aren't ready yet (Mod Organizer 2 doesn't seem to work with CK, F4SE has almost no features yet, etc.). IF the CK tint system doesn't allow it, it may be possible with F4SE features. Just depends on what they do and if they are similar/better than what was possible in Skyrim.
Adorkable Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Okay, I've always wanted to ask: What's the deal with tan lines? What's the appeal?
pipdude Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Okay, I've always wanted to ask: What's the deal with tan lines? What's the appeal? I can't speak for others. For me, it's just a detail of realism. Everyone has tan patterns to some degree. In a game where you see perfectly even tones on a character, it doesn't look as realistic.
reginol Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 Its something that suggests sexy or skimpy clothing was being worn by that person. There is also on old threat if you wonder what makes it attractive for other people https://thetfp.com/tfp/tilted-sexuality/93578-tan-lines.html
