Hey guys, and thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my mod. Still a noob with GIMP so trying to fix problems as they come along. I want to make some tan lines that actually looks more realistic and complete. Gonna search for references, but my time is unfortunately limited the next few days...

Doesn't matter I allready think its nice that so many people are joining this post in an effort to make awesome mods.

Didn't expect this tread to take of so well :) But very glad it did.

Happy new year btw.

Tried extending the tan lines. Not quite happy with it yet, still need alot of work. Thicken the lines etc.

Thoughts, ideas?

I love your skin a lot.  Would actually love to see more of this.

Or maybe you could make multiple styles like how this one had it

Wow, thanks! Lots of inspiration there. Might end up having to do several of them. Gonna need to learn how to make an executable with choices! :P

Can someone please make a tan line mod that goes together with most nude mods.

With the way textures work, you can't really make tanlines work with other CBBE textures. You'd have to choose your favorite texture set and then add tanlines as the texture that adds them would replace the other.

Adding tanlines to any texture is fairly easy. Just paint the bra & panty marks you want (or whatever) in a white brush and then set the layer to overlay at about 20-30% opacity. I'd recommend using the UV as a guideline though because it can make getting perfectly round or perfectly straight lines that connect really easy.

@umaros  -  That one looks good also but the thing I found an issue with that one is how the tanlines seem to not really fade.  They seem to just end really abruptly on some otherwise I'd say it was a really good one also but it's a nice start to whoever made it.  Also maybe it's just my opinion but not many seem to go for a much more intense look for the tanlines themselves.

Here is another popular Skyrim tanline by Xanshio. I used photoshop to get teh skintone closer to Fallout4 CBBE.

The bikini is just something I am playing around with in Outfit Studio.

Hey, THAT bikini would be cool...it's just a skyrim port?  I need to investigate these skyrim armors...

Is it possable to make tan lines work as a layer that goes over skins. because in combination with cbbe textures it kindof goes haywire

That would be cool.

There is a new looking tint system already in the CK that might make this possible by itself. I haven't had a chance to test yet because other fundamental tools just aren't ready yet (Mod Organizer 2 doesn't seem to work with CK, F4SE has almost no features yet, etc.).

IF the CK tint system doesn't allow it, it may be possible with F4SE features. Just depends on what they do and if they are similar/better than what was possible in Skyrim.

Okay, I've always wanted to ask: What's the deal with tan lines? What's the appeal?

I can't speak for others. For me, it's just a detail of realism. Everyone has tan patterns to some degree. In a game where you see perfectly even tones on a character, it doesn't look as realistic.
