ALSO on top of that I have mods installed that I don't like and want to uninstall them- also I just setup ModOrganizer. Can I uninstall those unwanted mods thru MO? It's not just that I don't like them they cause game freezes because it must have been a bad load order.

1) how do I get NMM to launch again lt worked fine on Saturday (it only launches in my school profile on my laptop instead of my other two)

2) can I uninstall mods using ModOrganizer that were installed with NexusMoanager?

3) if I reinstall all my mods in my school profile NMM & uninstall them there would it ACTUALLY uninstall giving me a vanilla game so I can mod from scratch?

Thank you

1) don't know. Don't use NMM

2) No. There are no records so I wouldn't A clean install of the game is needed or.. go in and delete everything but the Games ESM/BSA. All folder and other esp/ESM not given by the game. Use Steams re-verify cache. Then you will be rid of the files. Considering what happened. I'd go with a Nuke and reload approach then install MO.

3) Not likely. Every install and uninstall has a chance to leave left over files that can in the future cause problems.

When you deleted your NMM you likely lost all records of the install (installlog.txt or whatever it is called) now there is no references and no control to what is in the game.

Best approach figure out what is wrong wth NMM launching, Nuke the game and reinstall, Install the manager of your choice.. follow that manager's instructions on how to use it and if you run into another problem that isn't working.. POST A QUESTION and allow us to help instead of messing up your install.

When you install NMM it places several folders in a location that you can choose or leave it as the default. If you uninstall the folders should still be there. Technically you're just uninstalling the program. So, you're looking for two locations Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods and Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Install Info. Mods will store all the packaged mods you've downloaded and install info tells NMM where it goes, etc.

I don't use MO so I'm not sure in regards to that. I would, though, uninstall MO, and reinstall NMM. Since it was already there I would just click through it. If everything was placed in the default areas NMM should automatically detect everything - in theory.

Now, about the startup issue. Remember even with computers anything can happen. It may work fine then but not now - something happened. Did you check task manager to see if the process got stuck? Right click on the task bar below where the icons get listed on the desktop and choose Task Manager. It may say that it stopped running and then when you attempted to execute it again it may have lined up and couldn't do anything.

Try downloading CCleaner https://www.piriform.com/ccleanerand use that to uninstall it. CCleaner cleans the registry as well when you uninstall a program.
