CTD On Save, Inconsistant Start-Up

Hello everyone, hope all is well!

I've been experiencing issues constantly and am finally to the point where I just can't do this on my own any longer. The first issue being that I cannot start Skyrim consistently: I can change nothing, no ini alterations, no load reordering, and yet it can still crash where moments before it ran just fine. The second issue being that I keep encountering a save CTD. This occurs with quick-saves and hard saves.

I'll include the load order as well as the Papyrus log in an attachment, and if it helps any, the configuration files are included too that have been altered.

In case it matters, I'm using Mod Organizer on a 64bit Windows 10 machine. Everything is installed outside of the Programs directory.

Thanks and take care!

I hear all the time that Mod Organizer is the best option ... I never used and never had problems, too frameworks are installed, too many scripts, I would recommend is that you make a selection of Skyrim mods that needs to function well, not all mods are compatible with each other, and not always the amount of mods makes the game more interesting, try to avoid the esp that are unnecessary, for example, High Res Texture Pack, can be replaced by Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - COMPLETE FULL, Bellyaches HD Replacer Dragon Pack - Bellyache HD Dragon Replacer Final, Purity - Purity - Realism, in the case of the adult mods framework, Sexlab framework only, less is more my friend, the only mistake made with Skyrim, is to change, with mods, on something that is not, and have to suffer it.

Hi,

1) Are crashes happening when you start a new game ?

2) Are crashes happening when you launch Skyrim ?

3) Are crashes happening when loading a saved game ?

4) Are crashes happening in game ? (meaning when you can see your character)

5) Did you install a mod recently ?

6) Can you load an old saved game and play without crashes ?

Thanks for the responses, Dubalado and Dje34!

Dubalado, essentially I should just start weeding out things as best I can? Also I was unaware that the high res texture packs could be made unnecessary. The more you know!

Dje34, I'll answer as best I can. =-)
1: As best I can tell, new games seem to function normally.
2: Affirmative, I can get to the screen where the menu is supposed to show, but after a varying length of time, it crashes, never showing the menu. This happens seemingly at random.
3: These are a little more rare, but they do happen from time to time.
4: As far as visibility of the character, it seems to happen regardless of that.
5: I did, yes. However it was only a mesh/texture replacer, which I thought were alright to change mid-game. Perhaps I was wrong.
6: This issue seems to affect all saves regardless of progress.

The only time i had a CTD on save was with a "corrupted" save file.

For some reason when i attempted to continue "The forsworn conspiracy" quest i had a CTD

Solved by deleting some strings on my save

Have you tried starting a new game?

You might have done this already but have you ran loot to see if there is any requirements missing? also have you installed more than one memory fix for skse like the ini file and SSME? and before I forget did you run FNIS?

Hello everyone. =-)

Dubalado, thanks for sharing that. It helps knowing which mods work for other people.
Vecinogenerico, best I can tell, that's probably what happened is a corrupt save. As far as new games are concerned, it appears that those work fine.
Thedoodlebob, I have run Loot a few times without anything other than dirty plugins showing up. As far as memory fixes are concerned, I'm working with the one that comes with SKSE, as well as ENBoost. Concerning FNIS, I have run that as well without any issues.

As a bit of an update, I regretfully gave up on that game and started again (I feel like this is at least upwards of 30 times now...) So far the game has been 95% stable, with the game crashing on startup very rarely. This is not due to any load order changes, etc. It just simply happens from time to time. I still would like to figure out the root of the issue with my previous games, though, as this last one is not the only one I had to give up.

Hello again everyone, I may have narrowed down some of my problems.
I found a program called "spINI" that redoes my ini files to the STEP recommended settings, and so far things have been a lot more stable. You can find this program on the Nexus. I would link it, but it seems that's not an option.
