I just find it beyond insanity and so hilarious, I was banned from the Nexus today (by The Vampire Dante, as if you couldn't guess lol). But the really good part? I was banned because 1. I reported a mod that this guy made about being able to decapitate children, with videos included in the mod where the guy in-game was half-nude (Just wearing the standard underwear) going around decapitating children, and 2. I also posted on the comment section about how I felt it was too extreme and how it was just a step down from going in to the creepy child abuse area. But apparently expressing any negative views whatsoever on a mod is just a big no-no, to Vampire Dante, best part is, if I was genuinely 'trolling' as he said I was, which I wasn't, it would be my first ever, violation of any sorts, and the first ever 'negative' comment I ever made for the site. Just beyond hilarious, thought I should share.

VD could have easily just ignored his report, which would have been the more mature thing to do.

Why someone who is offended by such things would go to mod page and watch this video? Why is he doing it to himself? There are rules on Nexus, he violated the №1 rule, he was banned. He could easily just ignored such mod, which would have been the more mature thing to do. lol @ the people so fanatically defending this mod, yet it still has 0 endorsements. And to those people, this is just 1 step away from the type of mod that will include things child abuse, child porn etc. and I can guarantee you then, even if the moderators don't take it down, the proper authorities will. And this man goes to forum where mods about "rape, torture, abuse etc" are born to complain. I don't understand...

[/quote'] That was your post, right? It's a bit more extreme that just stating your concern about this mod - and you certainly didn't do it in a civil manner. And above all, you indirectly said that everyone who DLs this mods is almost as bad as someone who enjoys child abuse / child porn. Ban worthy? Not really, but we all know that nexus has a zero tolerance stance. So this was to be expected, but you most certainly deserved some kind of warning. It is not your job to play moral police on teh interwebs, especially if the site you want to play sheriff on makes it very clear they don't want that.

Perhaps you are right that I would deserve a warning but if you check the actual post you can see Dante's own barely subtle insult, which he posted below mine, Im just perplexed that such a massive community (There is obviously more than one moderator) tolerates a moderator going around abusing his power (If you look at the strikes forum, the highest number of bans dished out are by this guy himself) and if you also take a look at his reference posts, he takes the time to actually insult someone as he bans them. He calls my post an attempt to troll, which by their own definition is me trying to get a rise out of people. But yeah, 2 years or so on the nexus, almost always silent, 1 negative comment and perma banned.

You should of reported it through a e-mail and not the commented on it at all. I can see where you are coming from though. I'm I the only one that remembers the Manhunt murder that was in court?

The standard reason why killing men is washed over in moral thought is that we always imagine them as fighting. Women and children are normally seen as noncombatants. Since women in Skyrim are often armed, you don't have a problem with the vanilla game. So maybe make your own mod with this aspect of unarmed children solved. Everyone is happy.

If it was encouraging any sort of real life violence, we'd all be dead by now based on how many people own Skyrim. Personally I use the killable kids mods but I don't normally kill them, I just like paralyzing or punching them when they talk crap. Which is what Bethesda should have programmed their parents to do..
marrow12 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 The first time I've ever somewhat agreed with a nexus ban reported on this site, people like the OP are just as, if not even more annoying than the people who are all over the anime themed mods stating how ridiculous it is (though I admit that has happened a lot less now),I agree that a warning or just a simple request to stop from the moderator might've been more appropriate but I find it hard to sympathize with assholes to stupid to ignore something that offends them, it's like feminists and moral crusaders rambling over games that they never play.

Unless not programming the parents to do that was a take that for the laws in some states preventing parents from using the only really effective punishment most have...slapping, spanking and so on.
