She's cute; I think she looks good either way. I think glasses/no glasses should be decided

by what you think her personality is.

Still not happy with the way she looks. I'll have to drop the eyes a bit, shrink them a bit, and maybe get rid of that hideous eyeliner (or at least tone it down) but with the new bodies and face textures on the way, I'll hold off on any major changes. Doubt I'll go for another full playthrough anytime soon, anyhow. Least not till the GECK is out and some real sweeping improvements can be made.

Alas, save bloat has made actually playing the game with my current character a downright aggravating experience. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like once your save file hits 12-13mb, load times start grinding to a halt. To that end, I'll be retiring my current SS (at least for the time being) before too long. I'm just working on collecting the rest of the bobbleheads before starting up a new game.

Cool looking characters! :)

Haven't really noticed much difference - performance wise - between fresh and 16mb+ saves. Then again, I'm getting crappy FPS every now and then regardless (GTX 750 Ti doesn't seem to quite cut it). Load times seem to be about the same 1-15(?) seconds. They're usually done by the time I can scroll the loading screen object to the middle.

Thanks. :D

It's possible that the bloat isn't the cause of the super long load times, but that's the first place my mind veers. I played Skyrim on the ps3 before upgrading to a better PC and I distinctly remember my game becoming almost unplayable once the save hit 12mb, so I've always been leery of my save file growing even if this is the first instance in which (I suspect) it's influenced performance on PC. I suppose other possible factors this time around would be the fact that I started building up and maxing out a large number of settlements and rolled back to the pre-beta build for a while just to see how performance compared to the current build at the time. That's around when I started noticing it was taking longer and longer to load -- but it's also around when my save hit 12mb, which was the magic number of doom back in my console days. So...I dunno. Do you have an SSD? That would definitely make a difference. 1-15 seconds as an average sounds pretty good. Even with a fresh save, I don't think I ever came across a load screen that lasted less than 5 seconds or so. 10-20 seconds was my average up until about a week ago. I think the longest loading time I've endured since was about two minutes. *shudders*

Yup. Running on an SSD. Sadly, had to bump Skyrim off to a regular HDD to fit Fallout 4 on it and to have some free space for future mods. :<

The settlements and the new weapon crafting system and the fact that you move pretty much every single object when exploring, thanks to needing to pick up every single piece of junk this time around, which surely affects the save file sizes when comparing to say, Skyrim where the game didn't need to record nearly as many moved objects onto the save file as it does now. Not so sure the save file size affects load times all that much, could be wrong though.. I think the biggest culprit for long loading screens is the raw amount of data the game has to load from your HD into VRAM and actual RAM. My modded Skyrim loads faster from an old HDD than FO4 loads from the SSD. -___-''

Two minute loading screens don't sound normal though. What kind of rig are you running on? An old HDD alone might explain it. People underestimate how much the HDD affects overall PC performance. Investing in a decent one is usually by far the easiest way to improve your computing experience. I'd recommend WesternDigital Blue/Black Caviar series'. Those things are relatively affordable and rock solid. Been rocking a black one for a good 5 years and a blue for 4, still no signs of aging and I work those bad-boys like crazy.

Edit: Also, did you start to realize the difference in loading times when you started going around the more urban areas? Those are way more memory intensive than the Northern / Western areas of the game.

I keep tweaking her and I'm probably not finished yet, but here's my Vault Mum, Vash.

Thanks!

I'm using the Valkyr texture mod from nexus. She also has loads of the vanilla mark, damage and blemish options layered over each other at very low visibility, which made a big difference in giving some life and depth to her skin.

I'm also trying out a few reshade presets as an experiment. That picture was taken with the Cinematic Excellence natural preset I think.

It has been a looong time since I've posted on LL (mostly due to Fallout 4 and RL) but I have finally finished the main story and done what I consider a pretty full play through of the game.  As such, I feel its time to send off my character and so I took a few pictures to celebrate my first character, Holly.

Been playing multiple different characters, hard to say what I enjoy most in this game which is a good thing. This is my institute character complete with power armor. Also been trying my hand at tweaking a custom enb rather than using a preset so I can say I made something   but it's a bit overwhelming at times getting the right look.

Goddamn, yes please. Let me just undo those straps... then I guess take a shower together? But hey, she can definitely handle herself and watch my back.

Lots of great characters in here!

I played a stealthy type sniper up till level 55 or so the first time around, and just got bored from practically using the same OP legendary sniper rifle and tactics.

Eventually I started from scratch and some new mods had been released to help with my current and now sole character. I just hit level 66 with this one and am nowhere near as bored. Best way I could describe my play style for this one is a moral gray area, practically "raider" like in actions, heavy chem dependent combat(PsychoJet), Pistol, Melee, and occasional Big Guns.
