Rhapsody81 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Ok.. long story short, i stumbled onto Loverslab way late into my modding of skyrim. And tried to install a few mods. Well.. as you can guess. when you add something as complex as LL and the mods built around it, into a Skyrim that already is heavily modded.... things break. So... Im gonna just flat uninstall my Skyrim.. delete all of it.. and start fresh. Now.. what i would like help with... if anyone is willing, is a sort of 'install order' From a fresh install of Skyrim, for only the LoversLab mods i wanna give a try to. Once i can get those installed, and workign properly.. i'll make a backup of my skyrim install.. then start adding in the mods i have from everywhere else (mostly nexus mods =) ) Anyone willing?... if so.. here's what i found on Lovers Lab i wanna try out 1. Deviously Cursed Loot2. Amorous Adventures3. Defeat4. Radiant Prostitution (because.. why not? ) So... Anyone with time on their hands (and experience with Lovers Lab's Framework and mods..) willing to give me a short 'order of installation' of stuff i need to get those 4 up and running? Thanks for any help
Guest Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Start by installing only SexLab and its dependencies, also a body (the one you like most), and XPMSE skeleton. Live Another Life is usually safe.Nothing else. Remember to run FNIS. Start a game, finish the installation of SexLab in the MCM menu. Save and Exit. Then install only MatchMaker, run again, and then test if the sex animations are working. If yes, then install the other mods you listed. Better one by one.

(ie: LoversLab)

2Dimm Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 start using mod organizer and never reinstall skyrim ever again :^)
JerryBartoli Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I get you. I've gone through the STEP guide twice now, because I finally just reinstalled after not being able to figure out why I couldn't load my game : / And this is with Mod Organizer. I'm just a noob with this stuff. I'll leave it to the more experienced to help you. I've finally got mine working, and I'm starting a game, but I don't know enough to give you a guide. mine's only working because I closely followed the guides of more competent folks

Then everything was only 1/2 working, or buggin out when it did work Start by installing only SexLab and its dependencies, also a body (the one you like most), and XPMSE skeleton. Live Another Life is usually safe. Nothing else. Remember to run FNIS. Start a game, finish the installation of SexLab in the MCM menu. Save and Exit. Rhapsody81 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Hmmm fresh install.. only Sexlab, a custom body/race, and the Skelly installed.. Did FNIS. And in the MCM menu, Sexlab has a " ? " next to the Sexlab Idels Animation thing... Is there a FNIS box i need to check for that? or is that some optional thing i might need?
heavytop Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 start using mod organizer and never reinstall skyrim ever again :^) This x100000 Mod Organizer is amazing and Skyrim is really blessed to have such a convenient tool. It's not hard to learn and totally worth figuring out.
Kuroyami Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 start using mod organizer and never reinstall skyrim ever again :^) This x100000 Mod Organizer is amazing and Skyrim is really blessed to have such a convenient tool. It's not hard to learn and totally worth figuring out. Aye. MO was the deal breaker for me to get Skyrim, even if I really wanted to get it. But the thought of dealing with things the same as Oblivion, even if Skyrim does not seem to exactly be the same sort of crash happy game that Oblivion was for me? Nope. Wtih MO, I've had a few cases where a crash seemed unsolveable, but I managed to get past it. Or generally be readily aware of what the problem might be, like having the game crash the first time I tried to run the game with the SOS UNP add-on(or rather once I removed the character's armor) - didn't have a compatibile skeleton mod yet. Hmmm fresh install.. only Sexlab, a custom body/race, and the Skelly installed.. Did FNIS. And in the MCM menu, Sexlab has a " ? " next to the Sexlab Idels Animation thing... Is there a FNIS box i need to check for that? or is that some optional thing i might need? So the animations work in general, i.e no T-pose? I think there should be something like a "Rebuild Animation List" option somewhere. Not sure if that solves the issue, but it might be it. Although a probably unrelated(but important) thing is that the files generated by FNIS should be moved to a mod, by right-clicking the Overwrite line and choosing "Create Mod" - The name is not too critical, but you may want to name it by the profile, or something like that, just in case you want different setups for each, i.e FNIS Generated - CharacterName. Also, this mod should be the last thing in your list of mods, and nothing should overwrite it.
heavytop Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 If you're having problems with t-pose after installing something related to animations, run fnis again. But yeah if you install a new mod and your game crashes, just untick the mod from your load list.
Kuroyami Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 But yeah if you install a new mod and your game crashes, just untick the mod from your load list. That, or check in the plugin list(right-pane), for a red and white triangle with a ! inside. This means that a required esm/esp is missing, and needs to be there if you want to run the mod. A tool-tip box should appear if you mouse over the probelemaic mod, and it should have the missing esm/esp listed in bolded text.

If you have "?" sign in your SL MCM and you're sure you did run FNIS with no error reports, all you need is (quote from ashal): "If the animations play, than just ignore the ? on the FNIS checks, they are soft errors resulting from a Skyrim glitch with fetching animvars. You can try scrolling into and out of first person, then checking it while making sure you are in 3rd person view. Otherwise just ignore it."
Rhapsody81 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Just a Update... Managed to get a install up and running and tested... Ran into an issue at first with load order.. but with only a few mods installed, was able to sort it out. Now.. i just have two issues im working on fixing... getting a "Lookup Failed" box every time i load a save of any kind (quicksave, 'save' ... ) Cant even see the 'options' it has (there's two) but clicking on eaither one lets me continue on like normal.... really wish i could find out just 'what' that error is.. or what its trying to look up =( And... an issue that may be linked to using Defeat + Devious Devices..... after an 'attack' (is smexy times!)... i cant attack or use any spells.... I can go into the action stance/combat stance... but clickgin left/right mouse does nothing. Only way ive found to fix this is to exit skyrim, and log back in =T So... i'll be uninstallig Devious Devices/Devious cursed loot... (wasnt as fun as i thought it be =( ) and seeing what happens there.
ghostwalkr Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Ran into an issue at first with load order.. but with only a few mods installed, was able to sort it out. Get LOOT and let it help you with sorting your load order. http://loot.github.io/ MO has a version of LOOT built in, but it's usually better to download the latest and run it through MO. In addition, take some time and visit Gopher's Youtube channel. He has some really great videos on Skyrim and modding, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP He even has a series on using MO https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7DlYarj-DcLS9LyjEqOJwFUQIIQewcK He does a great job at explaining the basics and how to use MO effectively.
Rhapsody81 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 I really wish this "lookup failed" error would at least tell me what was trying to look up what. Not even the console is giving me any hints.
Guest Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I serched the net about your problem and I think this might help you: Two fixes, one definate the other generally fixes the issue1) verify integrity of game cacheYou do this byopen steam>on the left hand side of the steam interface in "Library", right click The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim> at the bottom of the menu that pops up, select properties> in the dialogue box that opens, up the top, there will be five tabs, select local files> one of the options in the tab, "verify integrity of game cache", is the one your looking for.2) Another Clean reinstallI think the look up failed problem is a interface to object ID problem where the object attempts to access the interface ID and fails to do so and the default fail message is "Look Up failed", if you have recently installed a file then it is plausible that the file incorrectly installed, especially over download as there is the possibility that the download could be externally interupted. A clean reinstall should fix this issue. There is ther other option to simply ignore it and occasionally it fixes itself but this option should be considered largely inefficient as it takes a large amount of time and also it rarely works as the problems may fix themselves and reoccur later as the units respawn. Hope that helps. short essay, right there!
Rhapsody81 Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Ok.. final update here.... I got things working!! This time around (yea, did another clean install) i installed everything step-by-step... Ecxluding the Devious Loot/Devices stuff. And asside from a slight hiccup with a HDT hair mod in which i forgot to install the HTD physics Extensions first (which i fixed ). Everything seems to be running now. Sexlab, Sexlab Aroused, Amorous Adventures (havnt done any of it yet though as character is still lvl 1 ), Radiant Prostitution, and Defeat. So guessing the problem lies somewhere in the Devious Loot, and/or its dependancies. Thanks for the help everyone. Though i STILL wish that 'lookup failed' message gave some sort of data-dump on what what looking for what....
Kuroyami Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Thanks for the help everyone. Though i STILL wish that 'lookup failed' message gave some sort of data-dump on what what looking for what.... Where you just getting it when saving in certain areas of the game, or anywhere you saved? Was it just for area names(i.e if you go into an affected area, the door would say "Open LOOKUP FAILED!" instead of something like "Open Skyrim"), or was it on other things? I think this is basically the game trying to name something properly, but fails to correctly reference the name. I've only gotten the issue once, and it was for one area of the game. The exterior of Volkihar Keep, and any saves made there would list "LOOKUP FAILED!" as the location instead of the appropriate "Skyrim"(this includes the balcony area outside Valerica's Study). The saves would load fine, and I don't think I've ever gotten a crash there. It was either fixed for me after Verifying the Game Cache twice, or when I had to techncially re-install the game, because Steam was under the impression that it wasn't installed(even if the files were all there).
