DjaySaint Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I didn't know where else to post this since I didn't see a "site feedback" type of forum... so if it's in the wrong section please move it. Is there a way to ignore or block friend requests from certain users? I know under the user CP for "ignore preferences" there is an ignore check box for posts, signature, and messages. Does that include friend requests as well? I just added a user to said ignore list today due to repeated friend requests after I already declined. I don't want to have some tool spamming me with a friend request that I have no desire to be "friends" with. Thanks.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I would say this also applies, but I don't know from experience. I kinda think I know who it is, but I'm not gonna point fingers and cause a scene.
RitualClarity Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I agree with endgameaddiction. The ignore list should include friend request. If this ignore list don't work and friend request continue let a moderator know. They can take it to the next level. You shouldn't have to deal with being bothered by members you don't want to. Then after that is solved the moderators/Ashal can look into fixing that. (if it is broken or don't work) Ignore options should cover friend requests. Hope that helps...for all it is worth.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I would first contact the person and let them know you simply don't want to add them as a friend. If they keep doing it, I would think it's like a form of harassment and then I would take it to the staff.

The response etc. However that would be a very good start and that PM (after it being read) could also be used to forward over the moderation team. I didn't think of that approach. However chances are whomever is bothering the OP has seen this page and has gotten the point even if it was indirectly.. . Which should solve all the problems going forward.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I suspect you aliens tend to blaster shoot first then ask questions.
RitualClarity Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I suspect you aliens tend to blaster shoot first then ask questions. Nope.. We use DEATH RAYS.. Aliens tend to over do things..
DjaySaint Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Welp, said person stopped bugging me so I guess the death ray worked. That said, hopefully the ignore worked. Or at least maybe they got sense enough to stop after a couple declines.
RitualClarity Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Don't know if the ignored worked. However that combined with this thread might just give them the idea that you aren't interested. (combined with the suggestion of you bringing in the moderators on this if needed;). Anyway glad it is working out for you DjaySaint.
Chaos63 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the friends list have next to no practical function on Loverslab? I mean, it's not like there's a profile feed or activity notification(as far as I'm aware) to bug you if you accept. Doesn't really seem like something worth a complaint.

This has to do with the "Ignore list" not the "friends list".. A way to prevent someone from interacting with the OP. Has nothing to do with friends. It is the exact opposite
Guest endgameaddiction Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 There is a notification for profile feed and notified when someone wants to befriend you. Or even notify you if they accept it.
