Tutorial for adding HDT capability to body mesh?

In searches I keep coming up with using Nifskope to add the HDT Havok Path to the mesh, but I haven't been able to find a tut on how to actually take a body that doesn't have HDT weighting and what not and make it HDT capable. My assumption is that I will have to use 3DSMax (or Blender) to do this. I have the Tiddy McButt body and wanted to make it pure HDT not TBBP. Unless they are one and the same?
