johnny2by4 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 so i've been trying to get a good HDT body set up for a while. been using http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27122-working-vagina-hdt-collisions-hair-physics-now-with-belly-support/ for a while but i've never really gotten the belly collisions and working vagina effect to actually work. there are a bunch of attempts to fix it in the topic, but the TC hasn't updated in a while and none of the fixes i've tried actually worked for me. so i'm looking to swap. i've seen two that look good. one is CBBE based (i think) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59416/? while the other is UUNP (never used UNP, so it would be slightly more interesting) with the 7base vagina http://www.loverslab.com/topic/43159-sevenbase-hdt-vagina/page-30?do=findComment&comment=1183024 just wondering if anyone has experience with both? swapping to UUNP would be a pain since i've got 200+ CBBE bodyslide outfits but i'd make the swap if needed.
MaDuck Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I think the "which one has better HDT" is all about the settings you find in your XML skeleton file and CBBE and UNNP are for textures and you can edit the 'assets' in bodyslider.
Guest Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The skeleton files are a bit of a shoe-in - XPMSE and call it done. The best weighting applied to a body mesh that I've personally seen in game is probably Dream Girl - I'm not basing that on any technical prowess on my part, purely visual. It just looks nicer whatever you chuck at it, at least compared to UNP or CBBE.
afa Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I don't think DG itself has any HDT or at least any indepth HDT support. I think for fully feature HDT you are looking for either UUNP or this one http://www.loverslab.com/topic/45251-clams-of-skyrim-project-by-scivirus/
Guest Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I don't think DG itself has any HDT or at least any indepth HDT support. I think for fully feature HDT you are looking for either UUNP or this one http://www.loverslab.com/topic/45251-clams-of-skyrim-project-by-scivirus/ And neither did sevenbase, yet that's the basic mesh UUNP uses, but morphed into the CBBE base shape. Any body mesh with weights painted on it that are referencing the appropriate bones is supported by HDT. If I'm not mistaken blabba used DG weights as a reference on his HDT body at some point in it's development. But as was mentioned previously, it's about the overall package. DG doesn't throw out so many spikes and lumps when it's bent into certain positions, it generally looks smoother, that combined with some good weighting makes it more pleasing on the eyes, well on mine anyway. edit: I concede that it's not a convenient package like the op asked for, it takes some effort on our part to get there, like finding good weights and applying them to the mesh we want to use, maybe grabbing a working labia and copying it over. I was trying to drive home that it's all about the skeleton and what it supports, everything else is down what people do with them. But I'll shut up now
johnny2by4 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 well i can at the very least say that the link for the nexus mod package runs better then the trepleen body mod here, at least from a performance standpoint. i'm seeing higher fps, which i didn't expect. mostly choose it because i didn't have to worry about getting a whole new selection of outfit mods. if i feel the need to swap again i'll keep dream girl body in mind, but from what i've seen its got a fairly limited amount of outfits designed for it.
