NiaticLabs Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 is there a way I can just spawn serana and make her my follower without having to start the DG quest line. I have not found a mod or a way to do this in console....

But i am not sure it will work or break things since you need the quest... But You can use EFF (extensible follower framework) to force her as a follower. Or there was a player home that added a copy of each NPC don't remember if serana was amongst them. P.S. still no idea on what can do to your savegame having 2 Seranas :| i am not responsible if something breaks.

Only there is some issues. The ID spawn IS serana and not a place holder serana so she acts as if she never met you yet (read: will not follow) Even with EFF the option just does not become avalaible. I have however, found you can make her into a follower by using console and manually completeing up to the point where she would follow you.. however this draws out too many bugs and makes serana glitch out ( Not to mention its a pretty painful process)

I have not found a mod or a way to do this in console.... nope serana, it's that you already know starting that thing without doing the stuff that is supposed to be done before it is start, is a bad idea and if you remove it, that's no longer serana, it's just a random npc that have her head and doing that is easy, you download a random npc mod, you load the head nif, some copy paste, and that npc look like serana (but no dialogs or blood sucking with that one)
