megaman12321 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Maybe "modified for US audiences" means we'll see some of the guys added to the game. LOL, one can dream right? The most likely reason they said this is because of Marie Rose. In Japan, they'd have no problem putting her in the venus swimsuit, but I don't think it would fly in western countries. The other less likely reason is that they would swap in characters like Tina, Lisa, and Rachel. if they feel these characters are more appealing to the US. Worse case scenario is where they straight up lock costumes to specific characters or get rid of them entirely. I don't really think they'll swap people. That screams DLC
Holden - DOAHDM Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Let us make a movement Perhaps we should stick with PC for now and worry about Xbox later
Verhoven69 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Let us make a movement Xbox is kind of dead in JP and Asia. So it does not make sense since there will be no USA release and Xbox only is surviving in the USA.
galhound Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 will get this for my vita and ps4 ASAP as soon as it is out, dun care if it's not localized to english; i'm only after the gameplay :)
TranscendedGuy Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 will get this for my vita and ps4 ASAP as soon as it is out, dun care if it's not localized to english; i'm only after the gameplay :) Me either. Though it'll be my first time to ever buy an import game from play-asia. I just need to make a japanese account for both PS4 and Vita. Vita is going to be the pain in the ass to do though.
Randark Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you have a PS4 couldn't you just make a japanese account, attach your credit card to it and buy the digital version? sure it'd be in japanese but at least you'd have it in the west
galhound Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you have a PS4 couldn't you just make a japanese account, attach your credit card to it and buy the digital version? sure it'd be in japanese but at least you'd have it in the west Sadly you cannot do that, you need a Japanese credit card in order for it to work. You can use japanese psn cards to buy, only games which has a Cero Z (18+ Adult games) are the only games that requires you to own a Japanese credit card because it is needed for 18+ confirmation. for example Onechanbara Kagura Z2 Chaos has a Cero Z rating (need jp cc) Senran Kagura Estival Versus, Natsuiro Highschool Seisyun Hakusyo, Dream C Club, etc are all Cero D which is okay to buy using a JP PSN Card. When I was in Japan a few weeks ago I grabbed a lot of PSN cards there since they are practically in any Konbini (Lawson, Mini Stop, 711, etc) it is much cheaper there compared to buying online for it. You can try and check out your local gaming store for PSN cards but they will still be expensive though. hopefully DOAX3 will only be Cero D.
Otakugamer1412 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 if its not going to release to pc i will not buy ps4 version ( you can buy it from solarisjapan.com ) for therse two reason : first : this game doesn't worth 60$ second: this game without nude doesn't make a sense

DOAX Volleyball Series is just a spin off in Zack's Island Paradise; if you played the old versions in Xbox and PSP it has dating elements, mini games and such. Sure it's sexy, skimpy and turns you on but that's the joy in being teased with revealing bikinis ; not knowing what's underneath is the true key element of why ecchi type of games exists.
gcleveland Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Will not release on pc due to all the lr mods. Unfortunate.

Except those "ecchi games" aren't as fun and furthermore don't have enough replay value as DOAX could give. The characters being unclad shouldn't change the experience and as I've stated there's a possibility of this game utilizing/abusing DLC that can become more of a worry than a simple nude mod. To let the truth be told; Paradise was a very mediocre rehashed version of DOAX2 without anything spectacular and even the first DOAX was merely a marketing gimmick to throw all of the girls from the previous games into one to "tease" the players. Even the original advertisements alone focused more on their bodies than the actual game. The irony is that at this point allowing the girls to be nude would benefit the game better than another slightly updated installment. Unless the wacky interns behind the game decide to add more interesting and original content to at least expand the value of an impending full-priced game, it's rather smart for players to add their own for the PC so they don't feel cheated again on consoles. Just imagine the reception completely backfiring from consumers and critics if this game fails to deliver anything intriguing and creative; then the spin-offs are truly DOA and the main series will need to follow a smarter approach to not follow the same fate as other former popular franchises (i.e; Bloody Roar).

I don't have a problem with ecchi games (like Senran Kagura) as long as they're fun but to completely ignore that the majority of games featuring nudity contain unnecessary censorship and/or unpleasant and boring features is the reason why it's become difficult to enjoy most anymore. Chances are they'll continue supplying more nonsense like DOA5 but time will tell if they'll be anything special this time.
Kshahdoo Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 After everything we (PC community) done with DOA5 Last Round, Tecmo won't release anything on PC, anymore
Farphignougen Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Did they actually say something to that effect, or are you just assuming?
quin666 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 After everything we (PC community) done with DOA5 Last Round, Tecmo won't release anything on PC, anymore People stupid enough buy PS3 ports and ridiculous 25-200$ dlc skins you bet Tecmo going keep porting.

I agree and unfortunately it's a trend that may never end. Just look at what Rockstar Games did with San Andreas for the Xbox; they purposely requested Microsoft to delete the highest selling Original Xbox port in favor of a "remastered edition" for the Xbox 360 that introduced "enhanced features" including a big delicious dessert of new glitches since it was merely a port of another version of the game released for tablets/phones. COINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT!

canderes Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I have a feeling that the mass refunds and optimization issues of the last game cost steam users this game potentially. They had probably intended for the last game to be kind of like a trial run for anything pc related, but it didn't go to well, and aside from that the cost of the dlc is outrageous. I would like to see this on steam, but it probably won't happen, I think more developers are trying to make multi platform builds of their games only when its feasible, hopefully senran kagura won't have that issue, but the only other thing I can take from that is that as the architectures for the consoles get closer to the pc builds future ports will happen. The only thing that surprises me is that tecmo didn't go out and sue people for mods as it did back on the original xbox. It was stuff like that which got me interested in mods in the first place, even before I ever touched a single Bethesda game. http://arstechnica.com/uncategorized/2005/05/4921-2/ As with most bethesda games though it's funny that the mods are what generates most of the purchases of the game, although I'm very doubtful that tecmo will put anything else on steam now.
afro-herbalist Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 NEED THE GAME NOW ON PC but I read that its probably never gonna happen. Something about Team Ninja getting all stroppy when people started modding the PC port of DOA5, so they responded by condemning PC gamers (or Console X PC gamers like myself) to hell, as in not releasing any PC ports ever again. I don't know how much of that is pure speculation though (hopefully all of it is!). Sounds like a real spoil sport move to pull IMO, but thats just me... BTW those screenshots! They can't be PS4/XB3 can they!? They look way better (smoother, crisper etc) than DOA5:LR on max settings on PC. It can't be the true graphics can it? If so thats f*cking good looking!!
alpalia Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 i just get it, imported from japan and compatible with my ps4 (yeah, ps4 as i didnt have see any pc version yet), really enjoyu the game, is pretty fun. and for who didnt know yet, its not only volley ball, its also strip club (yup, without nudity but pole dance), poker game, casino, roulette, cards etc... i will receive my VR soon, apparently it should be compatible too... going to try this lol NEED THE GAME NOW ON PC but I read that its probably never gonna happen. If so thats f*cking good looking!! i have play on ps4, graphics are awesome to be honest. i will receive an ps4 pro soon (when its out the 10) yes, its the actual ps4 graphism... believe it or not, but some game look way better than any pc game. check GTAV as exempl... on ps4 the game is awesome. on pc, the game is less interresting, the only point that make pc GTAV better than console ps4 is the fact pc have been boosted with graphism bonus from the devs, but also from mods like ENB. as for now, i have both pc and ps4, i can say both of them are awesome and some games can be better on ps4 than on pc just my own opinion. i wait for the ps4 pro, should be kick the pc in ass (but thats a good thing, because pc will develop more greatg ames for counter it ^^ )
