alexsofluffy Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Need some help guys. I've tried RaceMenu's mimic function, Alternate Actors, as well as console commands to take control of my follower but these methods don't seem to work on non-Vanilla NPCs. By copying and pasting the FaceGen data to my SKSE plugins folder, I was able to import the head of the custom follower via FaceMenu's 'Sculpt' menu, but that's it. I don't know how to transfer the textures, meshes, hair, eye color, facial tints, etc. So far, from messing around in Skyrim's data folder, it seems to me that this is not an impossible endeavor, but I haven't been able to find out much from my Google searches. Would appreciate any and all advice from people with more experience in custom followers/companions and working with .nif and .dds files. Thanks for reading!
myuhinny Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I use ECE but I just recently changed my player to my followers race by using the console. Just open the console and type in help followers name then use the page up and down arrows to see if your follower has it's own race. If it does then type in player.setrace followers race name then hit ok. Head might not match 100% because your race will still be using it's own head nif instead of your followers head nif. If you want to change or adjust your players looks after doing this you must *first* save then shut the game down then bring it back up if you try to adjust the sliders without doing this it will cause your players face and skin to change to something else.
