Nope, which mods are "essential" is a matter of opinion. I suggest your try a few at a time on short partial games to get a feel for the mods before you commit to a full game with a specific set. Check out the index of mods and then check out the detailed descriptions of the mods that interest you the most from that list and then pick a set of them that you'd like to try together. Play that combination for a while then go back and review the index again once you've got a feel for it and see if you want to try another combination. Once you get a combination that you feel makes your game more fun for YOU, go ahead and play that game on to the end. This will all be done a lot easier if you use Mod Organizer which will allow you to add and remove mods without worrying about leaving behind parts of the mods that are removed. If only some great modder could pull that out of the Oblivion game and redo the arena. It needs to have the variations of the gladiator armor, add slavery into the arena with devious devices and Zaz. Just imagine going through Simple Slavery to find you were going to get to fight for your life for some , utilize the gladiator armors with some variety and improvements, and add slavery into the gladiator world. Just imagine going through Simple Slavery or being told by your capture that you are going to the Arena to fight for your life. HA - so easily Arnold defeated you that you are sure to die your first bout. Arena Pit Bulls Oh Yeah!!!
