NNS10 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 In third person, because the camera and crosshairs are off to the side (especially if you use a customizable camera), the arrows also end up having a horizontal offset to them. Is there a simple mod to fix this? The ini adjustments affect arrow up tilt, which is vertical and unrelated to the horizontal offset. These are the mods I know about: Archery Gameplay Overhaul is the only mod I know of that addresses this, but it also does a lot of other stuff that I don't want to deal with (i.e. it also breaks XPMSE's weapon style feature). Precise Aiming is supposed to address exactly this (and only this), but a lot of posts suggest it's buggy and causes unintended changes to arrow gravity. Additionally, it works by somehow using auto-aim, which I found has caused my arrows to incorrectly home in on friendly NPCs when I'm actually aiming to shoot past them. Skyrim Realistic Archery Bows and Arrows fakes the fix by (I assume) hardcoding a horizontal offset and then requiring the user to set their camera offset to a specific value. This defeats the purpose of using Customizable Camera--you can't customize but instead must use specific settings for this mod. Jaxon's Archery Util is purely for zeroing in to a certain range, meaning it only adjusts the vertical offset, not the horizontal. Out of this list, Archery Gameplay Overhaul seems to be the only one that properly corrects for the horizontal offset in third person, but it also messes with way more stuff that I don't want to touch. Is there any simple mod out that that only corrects for the horizontal offset?
NNS10 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Do I take the lack of replies to mean there is no such mod?
Rayblue Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Have you also posted a similar request on https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/ ?
Veladarius Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 This is the mod I have used for a long time: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13652/? I use bows quite often and play almost exclusively in 3rd person.

Veladarius Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 No, the only thing that I have noticed is that if an npc is close behind me (visible usually) the arrow goes rather high.
NamelessRogue Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 try this in skyrim.ini [Combat] fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0 fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0 f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7 [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000 Jaxon's Archery Util is awesome help in recovering arrows but i suggest getting the jaxon's utility package instead http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60910/? (disablethe smart looter package as it will fill your inventory with invisible items that you have to console out also disable the real names module) add this mod bellow the utilitiy package http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66998/?note you will have 2 instances of smart looter in MCM the second one should be the fixed one if you use auto harvest remove it as this mod is better imo ( i personally disable looting from bodys and containers only use it for gathering herbs arrows food and butterflys. etc) Note: only camera mod i use is enhanced 1st person not sure if this will fix your problem but it might zero your horizontals and allow you to hit anything you can see without arrow going thro target
