SL won't install?

So I've tried a few times to install SL both via NMM, and by dragging the files into the /data/. I run FNIS and it says everything is fine, however when I get onto the MCM it says under the install preequistes that I am missing SL FNIS Framework Idles & FNIS SL creature idles.

 

Whenever I am in 3rd person the SL FNIS Framework idles is ticked but the creature idles remains a question mark. I have tried to go to the install section then exit out of the menu to see if it installs after waiting 10+ minutes but my camera just spins around my character in 3rd person and doesn't give me any notification to SL being successfully installed.

 

What is wrong with it?

did you run   GENERATE FNIS FOR USERS   FNIS set up all the animation fpr sex an other mods that require FNIS  if you have done this things   then uninstall the FRAMEWORK and FNIS then reinstall making sure than fnis is installed before you install the FRAMEWORK     I MYSELF ALWAYS INSTALL REQUIRED MODS FIRST THEN GO IN GAME TO MAKE SURE SAVE THEN INSTALL THE MOB THAT REQUIRED THOSE MOD TO BE IN SKYRIM

I installed FNIS a while back and it's working fine but whenever I install SL and run FNIS it says it's there but just never seems to install.

 

I've uninstalled SL 3 times now and reinstalled it, still did the same.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have Romance and Enhanced Spouses installed, so Lab has something to draw from, but it's the same as above. I uninstalled it, ran FNIS, re-installed, ran FNIS again, ran it multiple times to make sure (!). Whenever I go into MCM, all my Lab related mods come up, I go to SexLab, am missing the Idles and Creatures stuff because I'm not using them, which it says I can safely ignore, then I click Install and exit out of the menu and stand still as per the instructions and nothing happens. Ever. 10+ minutes and nada, just like Lanrutcon. Can't find anything in the Troubleshoot or FAQ about this, either.

I haven't got as far as installing a SL compatible mod yet, all I have is FNIS and the requirements for SL but whenever I go to install and then exit out of the menu (like it says it should take a few minutes then give you some sort of notification that it was successful) it never does this even after 10+ minutes.

 

I'm really confused as to why since FNIS give me the all go ( said SL ready after running it, no errors/warnings ) and I supposedly have all of the "required" mods installed.

I am having the Exact same issues... but all my prerequsites say OK on them all i click install and sit idly for almost 20 minutes and no notification Ever pops up.. i go back to the menu and look at it and the install button is still there... i reinstalled skyrim and i reinstalled the mods required for it.... click install again and it just repeats... i know there is no mod conflictions because it was a fresh install with ONLY the required mods for sexlab to run so i dont know what is wrong. fnis claims everything is ok, i did everything correctly... but the sexlab framework i believe is broken... please can someone fix this?

I install everything as instructed and also run into the issue when it comes to the in-game part, doesn't seem to work with Matchmaker or Amorous adventures, could anyone tell me what I'm doing incorrectly? ; -;

When you press install in the SL MCM, then exit - the messages saying it is installing should appear with 30secs. Once done it will say installed successfully, for about 5secs - then that message will dissapear. After that you should be able to go back to the MCM menu to alter settings. I don't think a message is mentioned on the console log.

 

And you're definately running SKSE, SkyUI and the Unno Skyrim Leg patch? Which are under the requirements. And if you're running Zaz, you've gone into that MCM and registed SL.

Sometimes MO/NMM won't register a mod when you activate them too quickly, causing the mod to be installed, but not be activated/ticked on the right-hand pane in MO. Can't remember where it is in NMM.

I'm definitely using all of those, no idea what Zaz is so I'm probably not using it, lol. Ehm. But yeah, I generated FNIS and checked if the esm's are working and all, they are, I've got all of the stuff listed in the installation guide, it shows up in the commands and in MCM, just when I press Install, it doesn't work from that point, I even went as far as to do a clean re-install, still can't figure it out. Might it be something with load order?

Zaz is a resource mod required for most of the devious device mods, and other mods in the same vein. So may not be relevant.

 

When you run FNIS, does it mention sexlab in it's generation window? If not then FNIS may be in the wrong location.

 

It's not one of the bugs I've encountered. Re-check all the requirements which i'm sure you have already, several times. Making sure they're installed in the right locations. Also that you're running LOOT to sort your load order (saves so much time).

It does show up in FNIS, I did run the LOOT thingy, I use MO. It's the in-game part of the installation I can't get to work for some reason, everything else looks seemingly alright. None the less, thank you for um. Taking the time to reply! <3

It finally occurred to me that I never did anything wrong, I was merely clicking the wrong 'install'. Kill me.

HAHA! No problem, I like to read the problem threads - I've learnt some fixes that way, and some better processes for installing and updating mods.

 

Plus, at least you can be proud that you did read everything and installed it correctly That so rarely happens

I just have to say...thank you so much for this topic. Almost a year later and I made the exact same mistake until I googled this thread and read it. Wow.
